Default JoseLo... hello!!

Hello!
I am a young man in the UK. I was not born here but the North East of England is now my home <3

A little about me, I love music and to DANCE! My passion is sewing and crafts, and have long enjoyed for a hobby to make accessories to wear and for the home, using my sewing skills. I love this, and I hope my friends like these gifts too! I have worked for some time mending and repairing clothing, while also learning to design and make clothes from scratch! I am continuing learning and new things for the future, and selling my creations!

With this, I am very happy! But there is one big problem in my life, I have struggled always with my weight and found out recently I weigh about 28stone. (400lbs) I was very shocked of course, and I want to do this, for my health and to feel better and confidence.

I thought to come here is a good start, as support is always best, and where more friendly than here. I look forward to meet people!!
Joselito xxxx

Best of luck to you in your weight loss journey. This has to be done for you, not for anyone else. Just remember that you are important, and you deserve a long life and a healthy body. And just think about the nice things you could design for yourself when you get to goal! I wish I had kept up with my sewing. The closest thing I have now is knitting dog sweaters! Welcome to the forum-this is a great, supportive place.

I am insanely jealous, as I would love to be able to sew. I usually struggle to find a piece of clothing that fits me well, regardless of size, so I would love to be able to mend/alter.

My mom tried to reach me when I was 14, but my OCD prevented me as I would spend so much time ripping out my uneven stitches she gave up on teaching me.

Welcome!

I'm also insanely jealous that you can dance, as I do believe I am in possession of 2 left feets.

Awww, thank you all, so nice!
Yes, sewing is how I use my creativity. I know I am so very lucky because I can do for my job what is my passion!
That's fab, samcakes, it is very wonderful to able to make gifts for loved ones. It is true RandomPage; part of the reason I learnt to sew was because in my early teens there was a big craze for customising clothing. At that point I was already beginning to get already ;outsize', but being stylish is very important to me... so I realised it is best to have the skills to alter, make and adapt my own!! I hope one day in my career to be part of a business that can make lovely things for larger people. Because we can be stylish too!!
Dancing is the best... only exercise I enjoy, hehe!

I've thought about taking dancing classes, it is good exercise. I'm just not coordinated enough
