I may not be the best one to answer this as I have only been on SB for three weeks. P1 is strict, but will help eliminate cravings for sweets. if you are looking to make a lifestyle change this would be the weigh to go. P2 follows which you slowly reintroduce good carbs. For me, I lost 12 pounds during P1, which completely amazed me. After my first week of P2 I gained 1.6, but struggled emotionally and with PMS. I stayed on plan and attribute the gain to hormonal adjustment. SB should not be used as a quick fix as no one goes to bed skinny then wakes up overweight lol. I am taking things one week at a time.
