Unhappy Anyone else?

With summer rapidly approaching is anyone else starting to feel a little depressed? It seems like every year around this time my mood takes a downward shift. I think it's because while everyone else is excited about going swimming and to the fair, and such, all I can think about is I don't look good enough to wear those types of clothes. Or I'm to big to ride any of the rides at the fair so why bother going.

I feel that anytime I go out to eat with my family all eyes are on me, wondering why I'm eating what I'm eating. Maybe it's all in my head, but the warmer it gets outside the more depressed I become. It's to the point now that I just don't want to eat. All I keep hearing in my head is "ugh she's so fat" anytime I go to eat anything.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I definitely have been there. But if you die tomorrow, and you did nothing fun or rewarding because of your weight, then the fat wins. The more you do to conquer it, and not let it have power over you, the better off you will be. Keep on plan, and you will be at your goal lookin svelte in a swimsuit, and so glad you did it. Take Care.

It's all about the attitude! As soon as I let go caring what other people think I was very liberated. When I think of summer now I think of getting out and swimming, feeling good, and farmers markets with fresh fruits and vegetables... summer melons... and all the water weight lost from sweating! LOL

Try not to do the negative self talk. I am guilty of this as well but lately I have been making an effort not to be so mean to myself. When you start thinking those mean things stop the thought and redirect it to something positive. It is easy to see the negatives but we have to search for the positive in life or else we will be eternally miserable. Also instead of thinking you're hearing you're so fat maybe redirect that thought to be "am I making a good food decision" if yes then eat, if no go back and make yourself something healthy. Think about the things you CAN do... you can go swimming evrntho you may not like the way you look in a bathing suit but who cares? Not many girls like the way they look regardless of size. Just go out there and enjoy yourself. I have a coot issue that limits Mr but I do my best to enjoy myself! *hugs*

I use to have so much confidence and it never matter what others thought. Then I had a few bad things happen and after that I just can't shake the self conscious feelings. My friends tell me not to let what others say bother me, but as hard as I try not to, it sits in the back of my head. I'm trying, but it's not easy.
