Good morning. Today's coffee is good old Paul Newman's again. I miss that guy and must rent one of his movies one of these days.
No griping and grouching about being overbooked this week. The weekend sure was a doozy though. Our wee village had over 1000 people here yesterday for pancakes, mill tours and the sale in The Old Town Hall. I was pretty wiped by the end of the afternoon but did manage to count and balance the "take" which will go to the bank this morning after gym. Whew!
The weather was cold and rainy and today isn't exactly a winner. We have frassing snow predicted. (For new folks, "frass" is my "F" work - most useful. It really means caterpillar poop! Feel free to use it for tension relief.) Anyhow, the end of the week we'll see the sun again although we are running cold even of Canada at the end of April.
So ... gym this morning, banking and then the rest of the day is mine!
How does your Monday look. I feel as if I am starting my real weekend!
AAAAAAAARGH! It snowed overnight and I need to brush off my new car for the first time before heading for the gym. I should have put it inside last night!
Ruth - thanks for the F tip. Glad you survived yesterday (did you sneaks some pannycakes, or were they not worth it?), and can get some rest this week! I must admit, I prob would've had some awesome excuse not to go to the frassing gym this AM.
Me - Frassin' work, of course. DH got a doozy last week (or is that frass) at his work, so we have lots to talk about. I have a school meeting before hand, and I'm not sure what after. I do need to get some grocery shopping shoved in there somewhere!
Just our folgers coffee this am (for those of us stuck in the 20th century without a keurig!), but that black silk is nice and bold!
I'm enjoying my Paul Newman's coffee this morning, too. It has to be my favorite, especially for starting off the day.
We don't have snow, but there's a huge lake out back from all the rain, and it's pretty chilly. I'm so glad I didn't get out the summer clothes yesterday, afterall.
Work for me today, too, but I'm not expecting too frassing of a day.
Jenn- My butt gets sore at the start of every biking season and I have a padded seat and padded shorts!
Ruth - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is one of my all time favorites.
Twynn - Sounds busy!
Linda - What happened to spring?
Since my trainer is still out-of-town, I'm going to yoga today. First time in over a week and I am hoping it does great things for my still-aching back. Then groceries. Staying OP seems to require a lot more trips to the store! I guess it's all the fresh stuff.
My gym bunny buddies just canceled out for this morning. Wimps! I am going to go a bit later this morning on my own and work in a trip to the bank to dump the loot from the weekend.
Okay, that does it. I'm buying some extra dark coffee and a few bottles of wine and heading to Ruth's place for a Paul Newman movie marathon. Can I pick anyone up along the way?
My yard turned into a jungle overnight. Guess I'll be mowing later in the week when it all dries out.
Good morning, thanks for the F word tip. I know I will use it on a regular basis.
Twnnb I too am stuck in the 20th century. I do not believe a Kuerig would be cost effective for me. I go through a large can of coffee monthly lol Guess it is a side effect of my job. Coffee prices here have gone crazy!! I must admit I began buying the store brand coffee, which is actually really good.
Well Atilla the Son made the bus with seconds to spare so now I can re-start my day. I love my son dearly, but when his alarm rings he morfs into a monster lol. Teenage years are so rough.....well for the parents....
Ha, Cyndi - Wanna come south to go north?
Ruth - I don't think I've ever seen a Newman flick!
Twynn - get a Keurig! Totally the best xmas gift to myself ever! A bit pricey but cheaper than *bucks!
Cottage - we've got a few lakes too and only 47 as the high today! brrrrr
Jekel - I am well out of my teens and STILL like that
Karen - I heart you.
Eating breakfast then off to work. It will be a rough week but I am armed and prepared with my food and vow not to stay later than 6 all week. Let's see if that works!
Wolfgang puck Rodeo Drive blend (a gift from a friend) for me in my "Manhattan Coffee" this morning (coffee, agave, dollop of whipped cream free and a splash of seltzer). Happy Monday!
Ruth Yay to all your volunteering and participation on the weekend! And boooo to the frassin white stuff. We dodged that bullet, this time. And have a nice workout later, without the wimpy gym bunnies, lol.
Twynn - have a good day at work!
Cottage - hope your day is indeed not too frassin
Karen - oh, I hope the yoga does help your back! Hopefully your body will acclimate soon to the standing all day job.
Hello CyndiM how are you doing?? I knew our yard/edge of woods area would 'pop' once we got some rain. And so it did, yesterday. I will also have to see if our mower will start, when things dry out.
jekel - "Attilla the son" - They can be like that, for sure
I had some off plan eating on the weekend but nothing too bad, and back on track today. Kinda on the perspective of 3 steps ahead, one step back. That works for me!
It's snowing. That is all I have to say about that.
I've only been at work an hour and already the craziness has started. It's going to be another long one I'm afraid. Taking a quick break and trying to finish my coffee before I start the next project. Green Mountain French vanilla for me this morning. We had to get a keurig to save our marriage here. DH likes the super dark jet fuel type coffee and I like mellow flavored. Now there's no more fighting, umm, I mean compromising over which coffee gets brewed each morning.
Have a great day everyone!
Ruth - love the new F word. What a change in the weather. Ah, Paul Newman, miss him too
Tywnn - no exotic coffee either - just french dark roast from Costco.
Cottage - guess the snow is missing your area. Have a good day.
Cyndi - I'll come too and bring my dvd colletction of Paul Newman movies.
Jekel - yes, I remember fighting my daughter everyday to get up. Now that she is a mother, she gets up, showers and puts on lipstick to bring DG to school. Says no sweat pants for her.
Jenn - what you have never watched a Newman movie, oh those beautiful blue eyes.
Holly - yes, 3 steps ahead and one step back is what I think I do too.
Kelly - a good solution to your coffee problems. Have a great day.
me - not a bad weekend on plan but today my blood pressure went sky high because I went to see my dr. and she really wasn't listening to me. If it was easier to find a dr. I would change. Cleaning out fridge on the agenda today.
take care
Sophie
