Talking Just wanted to introduce myself!!

HEY EVERYONE! I'm Tasha.
I'm 21 and 252 lbs(not something I'm proud of)
I started being more healthy about 3 years ago. I woke up one day and told myself I was going to stop drinking soda. So three years later and I never touch the stuff. About a month and a half ago I realized if I could just stop drinking soda then why not just stop eating fast food? So I haven't had any fast food in over a month. I have had a lot of trouble with my weight and I am SICK OF IT!! The more weight I gain the less self appreciation I have. So three days ago I started the traditional healthy eating and exercise thing. I've been doing a colon cleanse and with the diet and exercise as well as the colon cleanse I can already tell a difference. A very small difference but a difference none the less. I have never really tried the forum approach but was very excited to see that everyone is so uplifting and motivating.

Well that's me! I hope some of you can reply and introduce some of your self's to??

Hey! Welcome to the forum! You had the right idea going about it slowly. It took me several years of changing habits to get to the point where I was ready to take the plunge and lose weight.

Great job so far and good luck!!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make exercise enjoyable? I've made a playlist for when I walk but does anyone have any fun things they do to burn those calories?

Pick an activity that you inherently find enjoyable.

Zumba is fun. I like running too but it took months before I started to enjoy it.

Welcome! I've been here since forever. Or so it feels! Yes keep making small changes gradually, that usually is easier to stick to in the long run. As for exercise, like others said find something you do enjoy! Or something you can do with other people if that floats your boat

What do you like to do? Virtually any kind of movement can be turned into exercise! Find something you like to do and exercise won't be a chore.

I really enjoy lifting weights and doing bodyweight exercises so I've been doing those.

another vote on doing something you enjoy. i have this dorky cruiser bicycle and i love riding around on it during nice days. i don't love running or strength training, but i do like to push myself and accomplish small goals (xx amount of minutes running without stopping, etc)

Hula hoop! It really works everything but it's so much fun it's ridiculous!
