79 years old and still trying!

  • I started posting on here when I ran across Thread regarding the FullBar. I am 79, 4 ft 10 1/2 and I remember a little person under my layer of fat. I gained all my weight after 50 and I'm still working at losing. I have been a lifetime member of weight watchers and it is- fine program but right now I'm tring to lose my weight by cutting back portions. I'm trying to stay away from constant tracking. I just need a break from it. I had a bad episode with GERD a few months ago and lost a quick 20 pounds but now have that behind me and I am watching how much I eat. I count my bites Nomore than 80 a day . I am using the Full Bars and they definitely decrease the appetite. But because they are so expensive I thought I'd try eating 1/2 Fiber one bar before two of my meals. (they have same fiber as Full bar and I think the fiber is what does it.)
If that doesn't work as well I'll go back on the Full bars because they do help.
  • Ellie, welcome and good luck. I don't understand 80 bites a day but it sounds interesting. I wish you well.
  • Welcome & I just wanted to say that I think you are an inspiration and are amazing
  • 80 bites a day is a program where you count your bites of food. They say if you eat 80 bites a day you will Los weight it is just another way to control portions It is an app I us on iPad or phone. If I really stick to it I will lose weight but sticking to anything is th secret v
  • Hi Ms Ellie! I wish you well on your weight loss journey. This website is amazing. I have never tried the full bar but it sounds like the fiber may be what works, could possibly be protein too.
