Default What would you order ...

... from this menu?

http://www.cocosala.com/menus/CoCoSalaEveningMenus.pdf

I was thinking the salmon or the swordfish sliders (and skipping half the bread on the sliders).

Or I thought maybe the tuna tar tar and see if they can add a side of fennel salad or sauteed spinach. Thanks for any suggestions! Trying to be good on girls night out tomorrow!

A place like that sounds like it could be really accommodating.

If a place doesn't have my usual grilled meat + veggies option, I'll ask. Most times it's no big deal to get that and it's very healthy and low in calories. Honestly though grilled chicken and vegetables is my favorite thing in the world so I can eat it every day, haha.

If you're set on the salmon you can always ask them to grill it and give you a side of seasonal vegetables and like you said you can skip the bread.

I think the tartar with a side salad would be a good option, or maybe the beef tenderloin. Tenderloin is a lean cut of meat- thats why its so pricey.

I love fancy food, what i do is eat less before and after a nice meal- ie eating light the next day

Honestly? I'd skip breakfast and eat a half lunch so that I could be a little naughty. I like my gourmet food!

If I was trying to be good without feeling deprived, I'd probably go with the manchego & arugula salad (dressing on side) and the beef tenderloin with a double order of the seasonal vegetables in lieu of the mashed potatoes. Depending on the size of the steak, I might save half to take home for lunch the next day.

Have fun!

I hope you don't mind me hijacking this thread... it's a great idea! I am going out for lunch with a friend today and the menu is long but not-so-healthy. I am a vegetarian (no chicken or fish either) so my options are limited!

The menu

I was thinking the greek salad but I'm worried about the amount of oil. Help me!

The Greek Salad probably has tons of calories (mostly in the dressing, that stuff is crazy). It depends on what kind of plan you're on.

I'd go for the Cajun Barramundi! YUM

Ask for the dressing on the side. The Greek salad probably will taste pretty good without it, but if you do want dressing a good way to control it is to NOT put it all over your salad but to dip your fork into it before taking a bite.

The Mixed Seasonal Veggies look great too, but you might want to ask for them grilled instead of cooked in the butter.

The Gourmet Vegetarian pizza has me drooling and I am not a vegetarian by a longshot!!

I didn't think to ask for the dressing on the side, thanks sontaikle I might just do that! I'm a little worried about the "marinated" fetta as well since I always eat mine fresh.

ValRock I am calorie counting, so it is hard eating out because I never know exactly how many I am eating.

The vegetarian gourmet pizza is absolutely amazing, I've had it there before - a little too oily though! Thanks for the help everyone!
