Default Favorite Blogs/You tube

I can only seem to find two kinds of blogs and youtubers -

A. the people who spend a lot of time whinging about weight issues but don't actually get anything done. I can do this all by myself, thank you, I don't need to read/watch someone else do it.

B. Fitness nuts. I'm not there yet. I may never be. I don't want to be. I don't hate exercise, but I have a child and a life and no desire to be cut, ripped, or shredded. Maybe that will change...but I doubt it. I am not now and not close to working out four hours a day, training for an iron man, and gearing all my meals towards muscle recovery.

I would just like a nice blog by someone who has been/is being fairly successful and SANE.

Any favorite blogs?

I check in on....

Runs for Cookies (Great blog from someone who started in the high 280s...like me)
Allison Pacino (You Tube)- She did weight loss surgery but her videos are incredibly honest and she really tackles a lot of different things. I calorie count but I find her interesting.

There are lots of members with blogs in their siggies that I've found to be very inspirational. I've just barely started blogging about my journey so idk how helpful mine would be, but there are several!

I have a blog and I'm also a working mom. Granted, it's not just about weight loss though (there are also a lot of posts about body image, fashion, sizes, proper bra fitting etc). But I have lost a good deal of weight and all my progress pictures, discussion of my fitness plan etc are on there (the link is in my signature). I know there are a few others on here with great blogs and I link to some of them on my blog too.

I really like This is Not a Diet, she is a member here. She has lost 100 pounds and is maintaining. I follow on Facebook and I am continually inspired by her. I also really like Roni's Weigh, again lots of positive stuff. I don't feel like they are fitness nuts, just real people like the rest of us doing what it takes.

I blog too but I'm still a work in progress

On youtube, I followDivaSlimsDown . She has lost something crazy like 150 lbs in 10 months. She has worked-out a lot but I wouldn't call her a fitness guru. She's a regular woman and shares everything. Her starting weight was in the mid-300s and this is her first attempt at weight loss.

Another on youtube is PlusSizeKimonica , I found her right when I started my journey. Her starting weight was 481 and she has lost somewhere around 160 lbs over a year and a half.

I love these two women because they are real. They are not perfect. They share everything about their journey. Very inspiring.

http://www.youtube.com/user/antishay (Antishay)

http://www.youtube.com/user/rockybarragan (Rocky)

http://www.youtube.com/user/trulyjess (TrulyJess)

http://www.youtube.com/user/thesiegster (TheSiegster)

All of these are people who were overweight, struggled, maybe even regained, lost again, and are doing the healthy thing of exercising, eating healthy, and focused on their goal.

If you see TrulyJess and TheSeigester right now, you might think they are fitness buffs, but they didn't start that way. Watch some of their older videos and you'll see where they are coming from.

Each of them used a different "plan" to lose weight.

My fav was: http://pastaqueen.com/blog/archives/

Pasta Queen - I advise you start at the very beginning!!

She eventually turned it into a book and a follow-up book but I LOVE her blog entry's - they date back like 5 years from when she first started trying her weight loss. Very real, very funny!
