Thumbs down Bingeeeeee

I binged SOOOOOOOOOOO Bad over the weekend. My friend came over Thurs night because she got in a fight with her husband and needed me and listening to her depressed me so I baked because that's my stress reaction. Then Friday night I went on a double date with my fiance and his best friend and his wife. It was wonderful and I got a few drinks that were a bit high calorie and then on Sat. he had his friends over and I made a bunch of junk food for them and ate a little and I had a few drinks which weren't too high in calories. Then last night, my fiance plied me with junk food while we celebrated that everyone who has been living with us has returned to their own homes and we finally had our apartment to ourselves. I'm going back to calorie counting tomorrow, but I feel terrible!

Unless you are mischaracterizing what you ate, this sounds like an "off-plan" weekend, but not really a "binge." Don't get down on yourself, it is a new week!

^^ Agreed, it does sound more like an off-track weekend than a binge. But semantics aside, you indulged and feel guilty. Weight doesn't pile on over a span of just one bad weekend. It is continued overindulging behaviors. You are right to get back on track ASAP!

I just gave the basics, it was ALOT of junk food, I do mean ALOT! Today was definitely bingeworthy. Like 3,000 calories a sitting kind of bingeing. It was definitely an off plan weekend, but today especially was way more than that.

I think the difference between a binge and off plan is that during the binge you feel out of control. Tomorrow is a new day! Hang in there.

[QUOTE=Goody3shoes;4277033]... so I baked because that's my stress reaction..... had his friends over and I made a bunch of junk food for them QUOTE]

I'm really looking at what you said and there a couple of things you might want to reflect on.

Seems to me you need to do a 'kitchen cleanse'. If it ain't in the house you can't eat it!
Likewise, you said you bake when stressed...pretty much nothing baked is healthy. Seriously get rid of the flour and Sugar. No joke, just do it!!!!

The best thing is to not have that stuff in the house so that when you have a weak moment its not there to grab! Also, rather than feeding your man's friends " a bunch of junk food" why not make them something healthy instead? Mini-sandwiches are always a hit!

I didn't eat anything I bake, I never do. I hate my own cooking.
The food I make is healthy to a point, and I don't eat what they eat anyway. Usually I make a big dinner, like burritos with rice and beans, or chinese food, or a ham or roast beef. If I make anything less they whine and beg for more and raid my fridge and destroy my kitchen. I am very controlled when it comes to my cooking, I'll eat a little or none of it at all and just have a yogurt when they're snacking.

Yay for the beach. I wish I lived closer. I'm landlocked in the Inland Valley. I'm planning on going to the gym this weekend. And I got a ton of healthy foods to eat while my fiance and his friends binge.
Have fun on the beach this weekend!

Wow that's great! I always eat my baking! Like if I make cookies, half the batter is eaten before it can become cookies. That is why it has litterally been YEARS since I made cookies!

I love cooking and for some reason, the act of cooking makes me not want to eat. It's odd. I'm a culinary student, so it's a good thing I refuse to eat anything I make.
