An early one here in the mountains of Colorado! It's the big day-Kirk, Bing and Sophie are headed to Glenwood without me. I've got a monumental project ahead, between official work days but I do think it will be much easier w/o kitty, puppy and hubby prints. Besides I can get up and go to bed whenever I want Seriously, I'm really grateful to be capable of tearing out carpet, painting baseboards and putting 3 coats of finish on a hardwood floor. At my high weight just walking up our set of stairs had become burdensome.
Food has been good, and pretty "automatic". I have an excess of beet greens and I steamed them and served alongside our Kashi pizza and salad last night. I did have some NSA ice cream for dessert but it's become automatic for me to put my bowl on my little scale and portion out 200 calories. It's one item that's very easy for me to go overboard on.
I hear DH stirring...gotta run. I have to help him organize, pack his food and be at work by 630 this morning.
Sounds like you have a very full day but have it well in hand, Debbie. It's a great idea to get rid of the "distractions".
We are up and at it early this morning. Jazz is back on the rope when outside as he dug yet another escape tunnel. I have posts to block him off but need another person to lift the darn things into position. Maybe today! I'm off to the gym first thing and then have a footcare appointment so it'll have to be this afternoon.
Our weather is about to change back to March "normal". It'll go below freezing by early next week. There will be the usual griping but in the meantime we've had a wonderful "taste" of summer.
Now for a healthy Fibre 1 breakfast with luscious Florida strawberries. I need an OP day since I succumbed to the lure of a Tim Horton's donut last night at the Fair Board meeting!
Ruth, have a great workout! I'm really fortunate w/Bing and his separation issues. He is always underfoot when I'm around...which is why he's going to the other side of the Continental Divide. I hope you find an eager helper for the fence project!
Mmmmmmmm. Good morning Debbie and Ruth. It sounds like both of you have your day planned out. Me? For now I'm just going to relish my coffee and a few more minutes of peace and quiet before the grandkids come downstairs and the day takes off. This will be our last warm day for a while, so I know I do want to spend part of the day outside.
Cottage- how are you doing with the extra guests in the house?
Debbie - you always amaze me with your schedule. I can understand what you mean about easier doing this by yourself. Maybe that's because of the DH, 2 kids, 5 cats, and a dog?!
Ruth - that darned Jazz (again)!! Mmmm....I have a few more strawberries too. What is it about strawberries and bleu cheese? (with spinach and balsamic vinagrette...)
Well, it's off to work, and then DS's party tonight!! I have a few things to do before then (the spy is looking over my shoulder right now...laughing...). I realized to guarantee a work out today, I'll need to go in my little window between children on bus and work. Then I'm off like a herd of turtles!
Debbie, you have the wonderful attitude to be 'grateful' to be able to do all that work! hope the project goes smoothly.
Ruth - oh, that rascal Jazz! Hope you get the escape route fixed. Yes, our 'taste of summer' will be gone in a few days, downright cold again next week. Well we enjoyed it didn't we!
Cottage - I hope you get to spend some time outside too
Twynn - hope you get everything done in time!
and all others
Today is my Monday, bleh But I had two good days off. And I made a big pot of chicken chili yesterday so I have lunch materials for a few days. Have a good one!
Debbie- sounds like you have a plan- I am the same way try to do projects when no one else is around much easier that way.
Ruth- Jazz is an escape artist lol hopefully someone will assist you with the post.
Cottage- enjoy your "me" time
Twynn- good luck with the party.
Holly- atleast you have your food prepared.
Tonight DD1 is having induction into Phi Beta Kapa society so we are going to cheer her on and that is about it for me. Tomorrow taking DD2 and a friend to see Disney on Ice (though do I dare say I am getting Disney'd out this year!!! We took her to Disneyland in February and she is going to Disney World in April did we really need to take her to Disney on Ice???? DH said yes! but of course it was my turn to take her) It should be good though it's Rapunzel and all of the princesses this time.
Good morning. Off to the gym with my mom today, then grocery shopping. I need to quickly do some menu planning since I work both weekend days and want to be sure I have meals ready and fast. I also plan to do some shopping for summer Ts; I've got a few coupons and stores seem to be having sales. Eating is still good and OP. This time I added sweet potatoes first after finishing PH1. YUM.
Gotta run... workout is early and I haven't eaten yet. Have a great day!
So nice to see everyone on here. We are back from DD and it was so nice to travel in nice weather.
Ruth - having those double chocolate muffins was great, even hubby didn't have a Timmy's donut.
Hopefully next trip will be down south in early June.
Got to go check my deep freeze and make a menu plan and then go shopping.
Have a nice TGIF everyone.
take care
Sophie
Yesterday I finally launched our new website; it was kind of a big day for me since I've been working on this thing for the last six months! It got decent traffic, too. I still have some tweaking to do but I decided, I will always have some tweaking to do. lol So, onward and upward!
Last night in a fit of insanity I agreed to play soccer this spring, with a new team. I haven't played in a year, but they seem pretty laid back. Hopefully it will work out okay. My long-time favorite team dissolved a year and a half ago and I haven't found a team I liked since--of course I have only tried one . Anyway, I had about decided my soccer days were over. We'll see.
Have a great Friday everyone, and a great weekend!
Today is the same ole' same ole'. I am nearing the end of my first week OP and my emotions are all over the place...well...mostly weeping. I know this is part of the sugar detox, and I keep telling my DH this...he still gets concerned and calls to check on me. I hope this part of the process ends soon. I would love to have balanced emotions again.
It rained all day yesterday, and there is a chance of rain today, so I guess that means I have no choice but to finish up laundry and put it away.
Sounds like everyone else on here is doing well, and that makes me smile. Hope you all have a lovely day!!
I had a bad week, and am going back on phase 1 for 2 weeks. Wish me luck!
Me and my sister are going to start swimming together at the local pool 2ce a week, starting this sunday, so I am excited about that, swimming is the ONE and ONLY excersize I actually enjoy, I love to swim!
