Default SBD Daily Chat, Tuesday March 13

Good Morning

I "had" to get up early this morning to print reports for mom. I needed to "think" and it's the only time it's quiet around here. I've been at it for several hours now and see a finale to the 2011 books on today's horizon. Yay!

I work at the restaurant this morning and need to get some serious coffee drinking in before then. I'll wake DH as soon as I'm finished here and have some company.

Despite a busy morning I've already perused the fridge/freezer for dinner. We'll have our vegetarian version of sausage and eggs tonight with diced sweet potatoes and salad. Our salad was so great last night and I eat salad with anything now. Exercise...work.

What's on your agenda today?? Stop and chat

BBL

Have a great day everyone!

Morning Debbie!
I'm sneaking in here this morning before the day gets away from me like it did yesterday. I haven't been outside but it sounds miserable out there - all windy and rainy.
Off to get the kids up & moving then off to work.
Have a great day chicks!

I was sleeping so well and did not want to get up!

Debbie, I bet it'll be an early-to-bed tonight for you after your long day. Do you put any dressing on your salad?

Kelly, we had rain overnight, but it's supposed to clear out by the time the sun comes up. Have a good day today!

I didn't make it home until close to 9 last night, and for some reason, I'm totally wiped out this morning. The girls picked out some nice party favors and we had a nice dinner out, then made up the goodie bags when we got home. I'm still amazed at how much $$$ it costs to have a birthday party nowadays! The cake alone cost a small fortune. The party is going to be at an indoor rock-climbing place after school today. I can't believe Audrey is 11 years old already. The years have just flown by!

Good morning chickies!

Quick fly by. I'm at the counter, getting supper prepared in advance for tonight since I work late, and getting everyone's lunches ready (and prodding them to eat breakfast and get ready for school). Then off to meet a friend for breakfast before work all day.
I just had to check in to keep the beach in my mind today!

Good morning Debbie, Kelly, Linda and Twynn and all others who will visit soon

Cloudy here and scattered showers possible, highs in the 50's. That's still good for us..usually at this time we're still locked in freezing and snow. Still hoping to get the ice away from the garage so the m'cycles can come out.

I haven't posted a goal weight for this month yet..don't want to set myself up to be disappointed. I'll just keep plugging along hoping for more loss

Have a great day!

Good morning Beachy Chicks I never did get back yesterday. It was just one of those days Today is an at home day so everything is much more relaxed this morning.

Debbie - Your breakfast dinner sounds yummy. I might make one of those myself. Congratulations on the almost closed books!

Kelly - hope you can stay dry today

Cottage - Sounds like a fun, busy day yesterday. I hope there's some good coffee in your hand now. Would love to send you a cup of mine, freshly ground and just made, but I still haven't figured out how to get it through the internet.

Twynn - Have a good beachy day

Holly- The 10 day forecast looks great and I bet your ice will be gone soon. We are into full mud season around here as I was reminded last night driving up a road I know better than to drive on in mud season. Poor car.
Hope the nice weather holds out for your days off.

Once I get moving this morning we are going to head off birding. The farm fields are flooded and you never know what you might find. Friends found two rare geese yesterday, so we will have to check those flocks thoroughly. Right now I'm just enjoying first of the years - kingfishers, mockingbirds, killdeer, and other spring arrivals. I do feel kind of sorry for people stuck behind me this time of year. After that it's errands, chores, and the ever present LIST.

I'm getting solidly back on track again. I do well with daily lists, started with 4 items the first week and added 2 more for the upcoming week. I update it every night, so there's no escape from reporting in. It's been a real challenge figuring out how to manage my food. By the time I've taken care of DW's food with all the planning and prep that goes into it then the dish washing, I just haven't had energy to think much about my own food. I've been doing far too much grab what's available and not enough thinking about my own choices. The fear of the summer clothes bins has my attention now though.

Good morning!

Lisa and Rose - It's a store that sells women's "activewear," mostly exercise clothes and some casual stuff.

Debbie - I love the quiet here this early. And I always think best in the mornings

Kelly - Hang on to your umbrella!

Linda - Oh I forgot how expensive that can be! What happened to the days of just having kids over the house with a home-made cake and Twister?

Twynn - Have a great, beachy day.

Holly - Not great weather for my son and his friends to ski, sounds like.

Cyndi - Enjoy birding.

I'm heading to work again today. Then I think nothing until next Tuesday. I hope I remember everything I learn between now and then! Yesterday I did paperwork and then tried on clothes. They actually have all new employees try on every style of the classic pants so that we can know the product. They already are blurring in my mind! I was only there for 3.5 hours and was amazingly drained. But I think I'll enjoy it once I get past the learning.

Today I work over the lunch hour so need to plan a second breakfast before I head out and have something fast for an OP lunch for when I get home. I've been working through my frozen meals and need to cook/stock up on more again.

It's going to be close to 80 here today and warm all week!

Good morning,

Quick flyby for me as I am getting ready for 8 a.m. call but my goal is to check in every day this week.

Lots of movement added yesterday to my activities so I know Spring is almost here

Have a great day everyone

Morning all. In the Pacific Northwest, it is snowing! This comes after a wicked wind storm yesterday that left us without power through the afternoon. Put a damper on my getting out for a good walk, but I think I can weather the snow.

But, I'll be glad when spring is really and actually here so I can get out into the garden and get busy. Now that I've taken off weight and dropped a size, I'm feeling energetic. This time last year, I just didn't care. Good to be back on track.

Have a lovely day everyone.

I "vitamix" fresh basil, olive oil and a good balsamic vinegar until it no longer separates. I love it so much and can enjoy it everyday. The fact that our CSA supplies all the organic basil for Whole Foods in Colorado means it's always fresh and cheap. They have 6-8 gigantic greenhouses and the basil takes the form of a small tree....talk about smelling good!

Hello, chickies! What's new? Sorry, I've been out of touch! I was lucky to reach 275 and Debbie gave me a nice reward! I'll check in periodically, to say hello to my pals!

Oh gosh, what terrible bad luck for them!! I'm sure everyone has told them how bizarre it is for us to have hardly any snow and warm temperatures. Usually we have deep snow and more coming down, and locked in below freezing temps til early April!

As much as I feel badly for them, and anyone else disappointed by the conditions...my son got my motorcycle out from the garage. She is waiting for me
