I always manage to post on a down day but today I'd like to celebrate a good attitude day....
So, it's almost been a year and I've gone from a 22/24W to my current regular 14. (Some 16s still fit but not that great- to big). I realized today that I've come to love a few things:
1) I love the way my body feels after exercise. When I was a 22/24 and sitting around all evening, I felt like I could feel my muscles actually shriveling. After exercise, it feels like my body is doing what God intended it to be used for....movement. Notice I said after and not during
2) I love feeling my newly developed muscles. I feel more womanly for some reason. We had a potluck dinner with friends yesterday and my friend commented that I moved so daintily now.
3) I love NOT going into the plus section and only being able to buy what covers everything (the arms, stomach rolls, etc.) I still have the problem areas but they are much smaller and the selection is much better.
4) I love feeling normalish in a crowd. I still have a ways to go but I like not being the super plush one.
5) I LOVE not having to do some loser crash diet before going to family events. My MIL's birthday event is Sunday and I'm not worried about trying to lose a quick 5 pounds. I actually have something cute and comfortable to wear. I don't feel like the ugly step sister at the ball anymore
5) THE BIGGEST....I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE being in control of me and what goes in my mouth. The food is not in control anymore. I feel so empowered and FREE....and it feels really good.
I know I'll have another down day. I plan to come back to this post to remind myself....
