Sorry I am late in putting this up! Share your non-scale victories (NSV) with the chicks here! A non-scale victory is something that is NOT related to the numbers on the scale. Sometimes, we have to listen to our bodies more than pay attention to those numbers to keep up moving in the right direction
I wore a pair of DWs wind pants the other day! She wears them big, yes, but she is also a size 12 in pants so I figure it's a victory They seemed "small" since all my hangout clothes are huge on me but I wore them a-ok and they didn't cut off my circulation
I bought a pair of jeans in September without trying them and they would not go up! Like, I couldn't even rise it past my hips. Now, they fit comfortably A bit tight but most new jeans are. So I am VERY content! Also, I cannot wear any of my pants anymore without a belt because they fall off! Need to get new pants because you know what they say about large pants- eventually you'll fit into them again so no thank you! hahaha
Also, lost a lot of my sweet tooth. I don't crave sweets even dark chocolate! I enjoy savoury foods a lot more and when I want something sweet, it'd be something healthy sweet not overly sweet. Had a cupcake today and did not like it all!
Went down to the Diner for brunch today and ordered a single piece of peameal bacon in a toasted English muffin. Ate half of it and suddenly realized I was feeling full so I LEFT the rest!
My sister Joan called today. I told her I had been clothes shopping last week and could now wear size 12 in Alia pants. She was shocked and said "I don't even wear that size!" (That was the first time she has ever admitted that she was bigger than a Size 8 and it just popped out.) I really, really want to drop another pound before I see her on Tuesday evening! Sister rivalry never ends, I guess.
I noticed (and no one else would) when I sit in my desk chair at work and look down, I can now see the edges of the chair seat. Before my thighs use to cover up the whole chair seat. I like looking down and seeing that, it is like my own little secret victory.
Today I wore a pair of jeans to work that I never thought I would, last year I would just wear them at home because they were so tight in the thigh, tight in the butt...today I had to wear a belt cinched tight to hold them up, woohoo

So I was a bit bummed doing my weekly weigh-in today, being 1.2 lbs higher than last week. But then some point after I pulled my jeans off easily without unzipping or unbuttoning them! I wouldn't have been able to do that last week!
I've only lost a few pounds, but I went shopping for a few new work tops yesterday, and in the change room at Suzy Shier where I usually feel horrible about myself, I was actually having fun trying things on and getting really excited about loosing more weight, and how great it will feel to go shopping once I hit my goal. It seemed to give me more motivation
This is exactly what I needed. The scale has been particularly unkind for about 2 months, but I'm still sticking with it.
Last week I woke up early every day and exercised before work. (A huge deal when you realize I get to work at 630am every day)
This week, I had a conference in Vegas and stayed on plan! I had one off plan meal, two bites of dessert one night and a couple tortilla chips, but was otherwise completely on plan for almost 5 whole days in Vegas. Not only was I on plan, it didn't even bother me. I never thought I would reach that point.
