Default Anyone else turned off by cold foods in cooler months?

I just realized when I saw the "hummus" thread that I haven't eaten hummus in a long time and I love hummus! I also haven't eaten salads or anything else cold. The mere idea of eating cold foods in cooler months is super unappealing.

However, in spring and summer I love salads - every single day. And hummus and hate cooking. When I do cook, I do almost all of it on the grill.

Is anyone else that extreme? I don't drink iced tea in winter months either. We make hot tea all fall/winter. I cook my greens in fall/winter - switching to cabbage and kale and collard greens instead of green leafy lettuce and romaine lettuce. I lightly saute my peppers/grill them, not eat them raw in winter.

It's like if my insides get cold, I'll never get warm. I can tell spring is coming as that mention of hummus sounded appealing!

I'm a bit like that. My sister is just like you. She shuns all things cold in the winter. Hot food really warms a body up on a cold winter day.

I am like that. If it is not hot, it is not food.

Yup, my food tastes change with the seasons. I go for soups/stews over salads in the winter, then the only soup I eat in summer is gazpacho. I don't even turn my oven on during the summer - I cook on the grill.

I even do it with my beverages -
Hot coffee/tea in the winter, iced coffee/tea all summer long.

Red wine in winter, white in summer.

Guinness in winter, crazy hoppy IPA in summer.

Whiskey & water in winter, gin & tonic in summer.

And now I want some whiskey - it's been at least a month since I've had any, and spring is coming, so I'll stop drinking it altogether soon.
