Good morning. Been up for a while with coughing and have now spoiled myself with coffee and sf hot chocolate and some dog cuddling - a good way to start the day.
Not sure what's on the agenda today but I'm sure I'll manage to find something. I had planned to get back to the gym this morning but I'm still coughing so will do some treadmill here at home. I am feeling better but the cough sounds like I'm ripping out my lungs. Time to call the pharmacy for a magic potion.
We are still cold and snowy with more coming today - nothing like the big dump last week though. The dogs are quite enjoying it now that the deck steps are shoveled. They spend a lot of time guarding the bird feeder so I have to call them in to give the birds a chance.
Time to get moving and crank up this last week of February. I wonder if March will come in like a lion or a lamb.
Good morning Ruth and everyone! Very sorry about your coughing, that is not good. I hope it gets all better today
Just another day of work for me, I kinda hope that most of the tourists have gone home nothing personal against them..we're just not accustomed to the sheer numbers of them. I haven't been able to sit and do the Monday crossword at work for ages
Well I need to vacuum before I work out, is is very "ugh" to do pushups and see how dog-hairy the carpet is under your nose, lol!
Ruth - Hope the pharmacist can give you a magic concoction.
Holly - LOL...I'm with you on the hair thing. 5 cats, 1 dog, 2 kids and a husband...just imagine what the carpet looks like...
Just had my yummy breakfast thinggee with avocado, I have a bit of time before work. The kids were quite a handful today, apparently they didn't get the note to be-nice-to-mommy today!! I'm hoping to get a trail run in before the kids get home, but I guess it depends on how work goes...and if I decide to collapse instead. Imagine...a quiet house!!
Ruth I hope you feel better! That cough sounds terrible. I'm listening to my husband coughing upstairs and crossing my fingers I don't catch this one.
Vermont, I know what you mean about the pushups, at least it gives you a little extra motivation to push UP! lol Cat hair in my case.
Just checking in, we had to take a little trip this weekend for our business. Eating on the road is kind of hard but I did okay, went to Cracker Barrel and got grilled catfish with some veggie sides, then got lucky the next night with a nice grilled salmon with avocado salsa. So I didn't get stuck with the old grilled chicken salad again!! I brought some string cheese, V8, apples and almond butter, which I was glad to have.
My morning started out with cleaning up dog barf. Not once, but twice, and it was about the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Then there was the mad rush to make sure the girls had a good breakfast, throw a load of laundry in, make beds, and drop them off at school. After that, I had errands, stopped by my house to see how our bathroom renovation is coming along, go to the bank, and did the grocery shopping for the week. Whew! But I only have laundry to fold this afternoon, and may even have time to sit down with my kindle before picking up the girls.
Ruth, I do hope you get something prescribed to get rid of that nagging cough! It's been, what? Three weeks now? Get better soon, big sister.
Not three weeks although it feels like three years. (It just started the day I picked you up at YOW.) Just got some cough suppressant from my wonderful pharmacist with the doc's permission. I feel fine - just hacking out my lungs. It's the remains of my old asthma.
Had a great morning with no dog barf. Did two government report thingies and have them both ready to mail. May take a boo at my own taxes next since I'm on a roll with Canada Revenue Agency.
Back after going off plan, holidays were hard, and then I tried Weight Watchers but it's just too darn $$$ for me to go weigh in and sit at a 30 min meeting. I did keep the online tools tho, since that is only $20 per month and I do like to keep track, even when on SBD.
