Talking The siren sushi and other trigger foods

So, my current binge-lust-object, sushi, called to me again today. It wouldn't be so bad if I could to healthy rolls, but, of course, I want the stuff with tempura seafood and spicy mayo. But today, after much struggling with myself, I didn't eat any! I know my body and my pockebook will be SO happy I did that! And I have kept my diet going for a while, too, so that is something! Anyway, I was wondering if y'all have specific trigger foods? If so what are they and how do you deal with the cravings?

I'm also a huge sushi lover but I don't consider it a trigger food, because I only eat it when it's planned. A few times a year my family and I go out to a great all-you-can-eat sushi place, where I eat with no restraint. FOR ME, life would be a lot less colourful without these occasional indulgences, so I've built them into my long-term maintenance plan.

I used to think Nutella was a trigger food, but have learned I can safely keep it in the house. (My kids love it.) Ditto for most other foods. The only favourite I haven't put to the test is Belgian chocolate.

You know, it's all about mindset for me. Sometimes I'm weak and will walk 2 miles to buy binge food at the supermarket. And other times, like now, I feel like I am more powerful than junk food. I have cookies, brownies, granola cereal, peanut butter, bread and chocolate in my apartment, but I just don't binge on them. It's much harder when I go out to eat and want to eat everything in sight.

For me its probably anything potato (fries, chips, baked potato)

I avoid that stuff now for the most part and substitute sweet potatos and butternut squash.

I LOVE sushi, its not one of my triggers though, so Im good with controlled portions.
