Default SBD Daily Chat, Wednesday Feb 1

Good Morning

It's February as we creep towards Spring! What's on your agenda today? I stayed late watching a BBall game last eve and now I'm dragging just a bit. I have lots of paperwork but think I might catch another hour of rest. I have to be at mom's at 8 to work on company books. Exercise is on my agenda, too.

Stop by and chat

AND

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning, I am glad were are in February (spring is that much closer) and that it is Wednesday.

Busy day at work today so that helps the day go fast.

I really need some new ideas for breakfast, but I need protein to get me through the morning otherwise I get hungry. And I don't want to be at work and get real hungry. I eat eggs every morning and they hold with me til 10:00 then I have a snack or yogurt. So I need to mix up breakfast options a little.

Looks like another nice day in store for us weather wise. Hope everyone has the same, enjoy your day.

Hey guys,
We've got another day supposedly close to 60, and the weather report is not predicting a day under 40 in the next week. Loving it...yesterday I went out for such a long walk and it was so amazing. However, I'm concerned that it will be a very allergic spring, so I'm thinking about starting to take quercitin. Does anyone here take that, and if so - what do you think?

I realized I've got to do everything tonight for the weekend as I'm going out tomorrow night and then I think we might be leaving right at 5 on Friday. We're going to AC for the weekend (leaving my son at my MIL's house) which should be fun. It will be our first trip away alone since my son was born!! Hope everyone has a great day today.

Morning, Girls!

It's raining here and almost 60*. Can you believe it for the first day of February? My day will start out at Susie's, then I will have a quiet afternoon at the big house since Cindy is chaperoning Maggie's field trip. They won't be home until late afternoon, so it will be just Audrey and I for a while. Maybe we'll surprise everyone by having supper all ready for when they get home, and Audrey wants to make a special dessert with her Baby Cakes machine that she got for Christmas.

Good morning and Happy February. We are under another freezing rain warning today so I'm not sure if the gym is on the agenda. Donna is today's driver and she's a bit of a weather wuss. I won't really care if she bails as my back is a tad sore after six straight hours of sewing yesterday - yes, I do know better!

So ... what on earth will February weather bring? January was definitely not normal and I'm a tad nervous about February. We usually have lots of snow and cold weather by now but we are supposed to go well above freezing today. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Whoops! Donne just called and we are going to the gym. Happy Hump Day!

Good morning everyone and Happy February! Spring is just around the corner, yay! I've set some great goals for this month and am really feeling positive that I'll be able to achieve them.

I must say that this lifestyle is so much easier than I thought it would be. I was a huge carb addict and after only 5 days, I have no cravings at all. Plus, I'm actually able to listen to my hunger queues and eat when I'm hungry and not because the clock says I should. Starting SBD is one of the best things that I've done for myself.

Cheers to a great day!

Good morning! on my second cup I can linger because I have today and tomorrow off.

(If I should be calling anyone something other than your screen name, please let me know )

Hi Lexxiss, today I need to do laundry, pick up a bit, vacuum, etc., you know the stuff that no one else seems to do on their days off then we have our monthly motorcycle meeting tonight. Hope you got your extra rest before hitting the books.

chickadeee, I am also glad to be <this> much closer to Spring! I am not a winter lover. Regarding breakfast, I did see a Sticky about SB breakfast options, have you seen that? Do you eat regular eggs, or the substitute? I've been relying on the egg substitute but the real do taste so good. I am happy also when I can put leftover cubed-up chicken breast in my eggs.

mmckellen, almost 60 degrees sounds wonderful! I've luckily never had allergies so I can't give any opinion there. AC - Atlantic City, right? My last time there was in 1978 I think when they had just opened up a casino or two. Hope you get all your stuff done so you can just relax and have fun.

cottagebythesea - again, yay for 60 degrees Did you folks in Philly get slammed by snow last year? I remember because we wanted the snow (well the local skiing industry) and everyone below us kept getting it but not us.

Hi Ruth...6 straight hours of sewing, wow! stretch out a bit Yes we have had a much less severe winter so far...we had no appreciable snow until right before Christmas, and we have much less on the ground now than usual. We are also hoping it doesn't all come come in April! Have a good time at the gym.

lynnslife, I am also having a relatively easy time starting SB! I didn't think I actually could get through the day without a muffin, cookie, or even slice of toast. If I could free myself from those insane sugar/carb cravings, that would be so empowering.

After just one more cup of coffee I will vacuum, and then do my workout for the day (one notices the carpet needs vacuuming when one does pushups, lol) I do dvd's and videos at home; Gilad, Keli Roberts, Cathe, Karen Voigt, 30 Day Shred, but my new-to-me fave is Anni's Life Force.

Hope everyone has a great, on-plan day!

Good morning Gearing up for another day around here. I've got a long list of chores and some errands I've been trying to get today. Hoping today is the day!

Debbie - Exercise sounds like the perfect way to balance lots of paperwork. Hope it's a good day my friend.

Chickadee - I'm the same way with breakfast. So far the only thing I've found that gets me through the morning without a snack is adding 1 T of ground chia to my morning omelet. It doesn't impact the omelet much but really keeps me full. Beans help a lot too.

Matilda - A grown-up weekend, how fun!

Cottage - Happy baking. I'm envious of your warm weather today. It's definitely time to start a gardening thread.

Ruth - I've given up trying to figure out this winter, it's just so weird. Hope the gym is just the right amount of stretching for your back

Lynn - So happy this is working for you. I feel the same, even without the weight loss this way of eating just makes me feel so much better overall. It's the best thing I ever did for myself (or maybe second best after quitting smoking).

Holly - Floor exercises always remind me to vacuum Enjoy your day off. I remember last winter we seemed to get all the snow down here in the banana belt of Vermont. Can't say I miss it this year!

Okay, time to get moving. Breakfast for DW then breakfast for me. I have the third conference this weekend so need to tie up some loose ends and get that last one planned. Then a little erranding and running the roads if DW is doing alright. I'm not so good at being in the house all day Hoping the weather will clear this afternoon and I'll get a walk in too. It's so nice to get outside for awhile!

Morning all!

Debbie - thanks for getting us started. Have a great day!
Chick - how about something with peanut butter?
MMc - Enjoy the weather! I will be in NYC this weekend Glad to hear about the good weather.
Cottage - enjoy the weather - even the rain!
Ruth-
Lynn - Glad you are having such success!
Holly - must have coffee too!
Cyndi - I hope you and DW are doing well!

Just checking in here. On some new meds which is good, getting about 6 hours of sleep now but I messed up my knee badly and have to go see an ortho surgeon on Tuesday. I am supposed to drive to NYC for MOH duties but have zero interest. I've taken this week off as a mental and physical break much to the chagrin of my boss. But a girl's gotta do...

Happy Hump day!
