Hey all! I'm Sara and I'm looking for some accountability for my weight loss. I've lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks but I'm worried about loosing steam.
My weight has been up and down a lot over the past 6 years but I've finally risen back to my original starting point and I'm ready to lose weight for good.
I'm hoping to figure out how to make this site most useful for motivation and help.
For staying motivated, try putting together a varied enough eating and exercise schedule, where you can enjoy your food every day rather that starve and think of things you can't eat all day. It's nice to have some fitness challenge, where you aim for more results than only weight loss (such as running or swimming longer or faster or being able to lift heavier weight or being more flexible for yoga; or whatever sport you like). I find i t hugely useful for weight loss when I have a race scheduled and I know that I must train in order to be able to finish and not be the last one to crawl across the finishing line. Also, I like to draw out a meal plan for the whole week on sundays and have delicious recipes for each and every meal. This way I stay excited about the diet for long time!
Sara, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join!
