Default College student prepping for graduation

Hey everyone!

I'm a 23 year old college student looking to get back in shape and stay in shape! My weight has fluctuated between 130 and 181 the past 4 years so I'm hoping to make permanent changes this time that will allow me to maintain a healthy weight for years to come.

I live a pretty sedentary lifestyle so I'm going about my goal by both exercising and creating a calorie deficit. My favorite hobbies are listening to music, gaming, and reading but I've managed to incorporate the last one into my work out routine by reading and walking at the same time. For some reason, music doesn't always help and yet reading does. =/

One goal I have in particular, besides the overall goal of getting back into shape, is losing as much weight as possibly for graduation in May. I'm already down 14 pounds so here's to another 14 plus some! =D

NADYA ~ this is a great place for support; we have a 20-somethings forum here with lots of young people to share with. You sound like you have a good basic plan there, and are making some good strides already ...

Nadya, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join!

Thank you! I was looking at the groups but wasn't sure how you actually "joined" or if they just equate to sub-forums with particular topics. xD

Hey Nadya!
Your post caught my eye because I'm another college student graduating in May. Congratulations!
