Cool I'm still young, I want to live my life to the fullest!

Hello!
My name is Cristabel and I'm a 23 year old, soon-to-be college grad (FINALLY!).

A little of my weight history, I've been overweight since about fourth grade. It's only escalated and here I am at 23 and around 275lbs. That's such an ugly number to type out but I have to be real with myself.

I have tried all kinds of diets and exercises but didn't have the dedication to stick with them. I want to lose around 100lbs. That's a good solid number, when I reach that goal I'll re-assess.

Looking for others in a similar boat and encouragement.

Cristabel, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 20-somethings.

Welcome. You can do it. Expect it to take time, ups and downs, lots of trial and error. Do your best, find a plan you can stick to and works for you, and exercise. Try not to get down when you don't see results from time-to-time. Just stick with it. Don't beat yourself up for making mistakes, just get back on the path and make better choices next time. This is all about you.

Welcom Cristabel. I'm glad you're here. There are soooo many great ideas about weight loss on this forum.
I decided in September that I was going to commit to one year of change. It's been about four months & I'm down 37#. Exciting stuff.
I track my calories on livestrong.com/myplate. I don't have any forbidden foods, just a calorie limit that I stay under.
Just browse around & read some of these inspiring threads, they'll help you stay pumped about your goals.

Welcome!

I myself am a university student, and I am very jealous you will be graduating soon! I am only in my first year and am already counting down the days! If you are like me and have a crazy schedule, planning ahead is a must and it seems to be the key in the success I have had so far. As mentioned before, joining a support group really helps. I joined the Bikini Ready 2012 challenge in the 20-somethings group. You have to report your weight each week so it motivations you. You don't want to be the only one going up or not moving at all!

Good luck with everything!
