Hi everyone

I have been reading through the various threadsin here and have been overwhelmed by the positive attitudes you all convey.
What with it being the time of year when lifestyle and weight are the focus of not only many of our attention but the medias, I have been thrust back to review my own weight loss journey.
I once weight 301 pounds, my health was a mess and considering I was only my mid twenties I needed to do something. I know better than anyone what it feels like to be on that journey of weight loss, for many of us it will probably prove to be the biggest physical challenge we face on this mortal coil. I champion anyone who decides to turn their fortunes around and commit to something that is pretty tough. I lost the weight myself through a structured eating plan and exercise regime and maintenance has been successful for 4 years now.
I am happy to say I am now a healthy weight, the BMI has dropped from a morbidly obese 48 down to a 22. It is a life changing experience fraught with frustrations, elations, a huge sense of achievement and the ultimate goal...health.
I sincerely mean this when I write that I am with you every step of the way. It is possible to lose the weight and keep it off. There will inevitably be tough days, hard times but grit your teeth and stay strong
