which diet plan

  • Hi i am new today and was wondering which diet plan everyone is following
  • We have people here following all kinds of plans...Calorie Counters, those on South Beach, low carb plans, etc...most diets have a thread or subforum where people following it can chat.
  • The one for you is the one you woll fillow, it is OK to experiment until you find what works best for you.
  • Hi Minnie:
I have found that changing my lifestyle is the 'diet' I am going to pursue. It goes as follows:
*parking further from the door, wherever i am
*eatiing breakfast, lunch, supper and 2 snacks in between. (Meals are healthy with fresh vegies/lean protiens/ fruits & snacks are little zip locks I make and keep in the frig, like carrot sticks, or celery with cheese inside, or meat/cheese
*drinking 64 oz of water daily
*shopping the perimeter of the grocery store, where there are fresh vegies/fruits/cheeses/ meats, steering clear of boxed or packaged items (chips, premade soups, crackers, etc)
*exercising daily, even if it is simply 10 minutes some days, of situps and floor exercises as I roll out of bed.
I don't care to be on a 'diet' that will end. I want to eat healthier daily, move more and maintain such, when I am at the weight I feel best in. Best of luck to you!

  • I have been following Weight Watchers for almost 2 years!! Great plan!
  • I dont really follow a diet. I eat 1200 cal per day, work out 3x per week, eat small meals thorughout the day, drink 8 fluid oz of water per day and eat foods that are high in protein and fiber. Basically I just make good choices. The only diet I would reccoment is Weight Watchers.
  • I am calorie counting. 1400 calories a day. My main foods are green vegetables, starchy vegetables, fish, seafood, beef or lamb, eggs, skimmed goat's milk, gluten free cereals but they have to have only 100 calories per cup (I use rice Chex), berries, bananas, melons and citrus fruits.
Fats are olive oil, avocado, olives and nuts (no peanuts).
I drink water and tea and once or twice a month I allow myself to have a small portion of dark chocolate.
