17 Day Diet question(s)? Do any of you have experience with this?
Hi ladies and gentlemen,
I've decided it's time I finally got my butt in gear and really got serious about losing weight. I picked up the 17 Day Diet book a few months ago but a whole string of things went wrong, and I wasn't able to stick to it - opting for the fast and yummy foods that are absolutely no good for me.
Anyway, it is 2012 now and I figured as good a time as any to get back on my horse and try again.
I started the diet on Monday, (Jan 9th) and so far it's going pretty well. I'm down around 4lbs from when I started, which was really nice to see (I know, I know, you're not supposed to weigh yourself daily, I'm making a point not to from now on)...
I currently tip the scales at 287ish, and I'm looking to lose about 120lbs... Here's the catch, I'd like to lose that weight in 6-8 months. Is it possible to do that on this diet? I'm not worried about it being unhealthy or starving myself because so many people have done it before, and it is nutritionally balanced etc.
Have any of you lost that amount of weight in that amount of time on this diet?
Add: I'm expecting great results from the first cycle - I really do have a lot of weight to lose, so the first and second cycles should probably give me the best results. from what I've read. Really mathematically I'm only looking at 40lbs to lose every 2 months... That makes the task seem a lot less daunting.
