Default stress of everything and eating

I'm finding myself eat more carbs than usual. I'm not sure if it's from the stress of moving or the stress of money or the stress of feeling like everything is falling apart and my legs are starting to twitch. I had a vegetable challenge I've been doing but it quickly turned into me eating ramen with half the bowl mixed vegetables. I've been trying to do 5 Zumba classes a week and weight lifting but I think I need something different in my life like different foods. I'm moving in with my boyfriend in 3 weeks so I don't feel like I want to buy lots of food because I'm not trying to move food. It was weird giving away all of my fat clothes and semi fat clothes for this move. Some of them I wasn't even ready to part with. I still have more clothes to give away. I'm kind of not sure what to do with myself.

You've come such a long way so for that you should be very very proud of yourself. You're really close to your goal! As for your carb intake, personally I find saying "Don't eat ___" makes me want to eat it 10 times more. So maybe forget this vegetable challenge and go back to what you were eating before that helped you lose so much weight.

Were you an emotional eater before? Because maybe the stress of the move is making you slip back into old habits because your usual determination and dedication for weight loss is being placed on the back burner. It's hard trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle when other situations seem to be taking over our lives.
Just relax, take things easy and don't be so hard on yourself. You've recognised the problem so now you can do something about it. I think life is what you make of it, so try and stay positive and not put so much pressure on things and you will find staying healthy and the move a lot easier.

I wouldn't necessarily say I was an emotional eater... more like a cheap eater regardless of the health information on the food. I bought anything that was cheap (except Mcdonald's and Burger King (uck to me)).... I feel a little like I'm selling myself short with trying to compensate for the stuff I want or need to buy with cheap food.. Things have to be easier. Thanks Riestrella.

Moving is stressful! Almost two years ago I moved several states away and in with my SO. It was my first time living that far away from home and with a SO, and I had to juggle that with a new job, which was my first full-time job in a few years. I was totally overwhelmed and I so understand where you're coming from.

Try to be as kind to yourself as possible during this time- it's normal that you'll feel vulnerable and stressed. Lean on the people you love for support. And now probably isn't the best time to go to extremes (i.e. the veggie challenge, the high workout goals). Find some protein-packed quick meals and snacks that satisfy you and use them as staples, and try to stay on a workout schedule but don't beat yourself up if you don't meet your goal during this time- you don't need that extra stress (although I'm sure you'd agree that a good workout can help with the stress!) Be kind to yourself, fuel your body with things that will help keep you going, and ride out the next few weeks. It will calm down!
