New to 3fc - Great to have found you guys!

  • Hi everybody! I've got a long way to go on my weight loss goal for 2012, but I know with the right support, the right inspiration, the right attitude, and the right changes in my lifestyle I CAN DO IT!

    100 lbs in one year is my goal for 2012. I'm trying to lose a minimum of 1.5 lbs per week, but keep on track at about 2 lbs per week. This year is dedicated to living the change, developing new habits, and learning to forgive myself and move on. I figure by giving myself a little flexibility, I'll stay on track and at least *average* 2 lbs per week.

    Starting weight: 288
    Current weight: 274.5
    Target weight for the end of this year: 186

    I look forward to meeting new friends and watching the successes of others as I make strides towards my own goals.

    Hugs to all of us who are making it happen, and even bigger hugs to those who get a little discouraged.

    Oh, P.S. - My diet of choice would be Medifast, but finances just don't allow it right now. I'm going on a low carb ketosis diet, but making sure to get supplements, fiber, and the minimum required grams of carbs daily so that I can achieve my goals in a healthy fashion. Once I get to within 35 lbs of my ultimate goal weight (140), I'm planning to join Weight Watchers.... I'm going to help ensure that I get there, no matter what!

  • Cyndi, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the Low Carb and Weight Watchers sub-forum.
