Unhappy First timer

Hello, newbie here

I am not new to weight loss, but new to the forum. I am sincerely hoping to get support from this great community to lose weight.
I have lost 30 pounds in the last 10 months. I got the flu two weeks back, and am so tired to even think of restarting my exercise routine or eating healthy.
My motivation is lost, and I feel discouraged thinking about how slow my weight loss was during the past year.
I want to lose weight, but this is not one of my best days.

Help!
Iyer

Thanks healthhappy. Good luck to you too!
I am hoping my pessimism on further weight loss will turn into optimism when it is with a group like this

Iyer, welcome, glad to have you join us. Congrats on the weight you have lost so far! I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join!

Thank you Penguin, I will try to find a smaller group to post
you are right, small achievable goals would be better than a big scary goal...

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on your 30lb loss, simply amazing!
What food plan you are following? There is a ton of information about many different food plans on this site. Pick a plan that fits in your lifestyle and you can follow long term. I chose calorie counting because it is free and flexible. It allows me to eat almost anything I wanted as long as it fits within my calorie range for the day and there are ton of free apps out there to help you track your food.
Give up the sugary drinks and drink lots and lots of water.
Incorporate some exercise into your weekly routine. You do not have to join an expensive gym try to walk more, use the stairs more, download videos off of YouTube or Hulu.com to work out to. There are a lot of things you can to do with spending a ton of money.
Lastly, if you have a bad meal, a bad day, heck, a bad food week. Do NOT let this be a reason to throw in the towel. Get back on track at the next meal. You can do this!!!
Hope you feel better soon! Best of luck to you!

Hello NEMom

Thank you for the much needed encouragement and weight loss tips. And big congratulations on your 60 pounds of weight loss last December!

I was reading your forum entries and noticed that one of your first goals was to get below 200. I am inspired to make that my goal for now.
