Hey ya'll! Happy New Year! This will be a new year for me, I hope! I am a 50 (almost 51!) year old new grandmother. I have always been overweight and now, as my age creeps up on me, it is causing heath problems...high blood pressure, aches and pains. So... I am determined to get healthier! I am going to try Weight Watchers (did this years ago and it worked. I am also inspired by a parent of a child I teach who has lost 80 lbs on WW and kept it off for 2 + years). I have a long way to go but I WILL do it! JUST FOR TODAY.. I will do something positive to improve my health (from "Dear Abby" in yesterday's paper) My new mantra!
Mama Sue, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering arouns specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 50+ and WW support groups
