Default hopefully from a size 20-10 (uk size)

so ive been determined to lose weight for years but after reading a few of the blogs on here and how well some people have done ive decided im proper gonna give it ago. currently 217lbs (15stone ish) and a dress size 20. want to become 135lbs (9st7lbs) and dress size 10 by dec 31st 2012

good luck sweetie. 6 stone sounds like a bit much though. not saying it cant be done mind, its just the faster it comes of the harder it is to keep off.
i started this time last year and slowly but surely lost 2 stone. im aimimg for another 2 stone this year.
where about in the uk are you?

hey, thanks for the comment. i know 6 stone sounds a **** of a lot but looking on here some have done it in a year so im giving it a go. i know its gonna take alot of hard work and effort but im putting 100% effort into it

Good luck.. It's gonna hard road.. but we're all here in the same position walking it with you. You've made the decision.. its the first step. well done.
Ive only got between 21- 28 lbs to lose.. but any weight can feel a hard journey.. so always around to chat to if you need it

Hi! I'm aiming to get down from a UK 18 to whatever size being 135lbs will put me at at 1 lbs a week I think its pretty managable

I'm trying to lose 5stone this year, so yeah it's a lot to lose in a year but it looks like it can be done and I'm willing to give it a go. Hope you manage your 6st!

a size 10 is my goal. id love to be able to walk down the street in the summer in a pair of shorts or a bikini on the beach but because i hate my body that much i dont dare do it now. i dont dare leave the house unless im in a pair of baggy trousers and a sweater my cousin has just lose 4 stone in about 6months so your 5stone is deffo possible foxevil. littlesquirrel - u seem to be doing exactly what im doing. size 18-20 ish is me down to 135lbs which would be a size 10. how are you all losing weight? what diet and exercise resieme you following? would be nice to hear what other people are doing, might give me some extra motivation

I'm totally with you there on the 'walking down the stree in a good pair of daisy dukes' thing... No matter what weight I am, the day I'm comfortable doing that I shall be comfortable with my weight ^_^

I'm just calorie counting and trying to up my exercise. I'm going to go fencing for 3 seesions a week as opposed to 1, and I already walk for about 30 mins a day due to trekking across campus. When I'm not at uni, I do zumba and walk the dogs.

I'm also going to start making meals in bulk and then separting them into set portions to be frozen. I think this will help me obtain some portion control and I'll be more likely to reach for that than a pizza ^_^

Hi I'm currently 211lbs (15st 1lbs) and am now a size 18 when starting I was size 24 so far so good, I'm happy to chat if you want, I'm not setting my goal so high, I would love to be a size 14 by summer and maybe 12 by december 2012. You could break that goal down into chunks to keep you feeling motivated overall my goal is to reach 11st ( the top end of the healthy weight for my height ) and then see how that feels!! I'm using weight watchers as I find the group supportive and also it makes me feel guilty if I gain

Hey there. I'm started off at about your weight and was a size 20 (just...nearly 22). I'm now comfortably into 14's but more than anything feel a lot healthier!

I follow SW and it's taken me just over a year to lose just over 4st. Having said that I've not followed it totally strictly as I've done a lot of partying and a few holidays during that time too. I'm trying to treat it as a lifestyle change and not a diet and set myself small goals at a time.
