Default Binged today...need encouragement

I had a binge today. I decided since it was the last day of the year I can throw caution to the wind today. Well its 4 now and I have had 1950 calories. I have a plethora of junk in the house that I bought on my store run. But I decided that today doesn't need to turn into tonight. I went upstairs and tried on my outfits for progress pictures. I can see such a huge difference and I want to continue to see my body change. My plan for the rest of the day is a ton of water and if I get truly hungry later to have something healthy. An Apple and some turkey or a light string cheese. I guess I just want to feel like I turned a bad situation into a good thing and to stop beating myself over it.

Good plan. No need to revisit 333 over a minor blip in the grand scheme of things!!

You've come an amazing ways from your starting weight. Never forget that. And trust me, in the grand scheme of things, 1900 isn't that bad, especially for New Years Eve ....We all have days that we're not going to eat perfect. Its impossible not to eat a bit more sometimes. What matters is that you don't do it all the time. And by the amount of weight you lost, you obviously don't.
Happy New Years

As long as you get over it and move on, no real damage done. After 109 pounds lost, I think you needed to throw caution (and the diet) to the wind, for one day, and what is done is done.

I too gave myself free reign today. While I have not gone over my calories (yet--I'm entertaining the thought of some yogurt/fruit as a sweet) I had cheese, pepperoni and crackers today as part of our New Year's celebration. I haven't had cheese and crackers in the house let alone given myself permission to consume them. I actually did very well--and we paired it with shrimp cocktail which didn't amount to much.

Anyhow, give yourself a hug, look forward to tomorrow, and even if you do more eating tonight....forgive yourself and get it together tomorrow and in the New Year.

Congrats on the weight loss by the way--very impressive. You have much to be proud of.

You have done so well having lost over 100 lbs already- you are clearly a chick who knows what she's doing and even though you treated yourself today, that has no influence on what you can choose to do tomorrow. You're an inspiration.

I indulged in a whole Lindt dark mint chocolate bar last night and I really enjoyed it- I'm thinking PMS cravings. Today, I took an extra long walk in the snow and am back on track calorie-wise. I think on those occasions when we indulge, it is important to tune into our enjoyment of whatever the indulgence is, with no guilt. Otherwise, it's just wasted calories.

When I look at what you have accomplished so far in your journey, I am truly inspired. I hope you won't beat yourself up too much about today!

I agree! I'm 5 ft 3 & 136 lbs. (based on latest weigh-in) & I've been eating 2000 per day to maintain (& am still losing). If you get right back on plan, I'll bet you still see a loss this week.
