Cool any other young mums struggling with weight?

Just wondered if any one on here was like me, I'm a young mum, I live in a remote village and don't drive so I am often at home all day with the food!! Just wondered if anyone's in a similar position and would like to share ideas?

I stay home with my son (9 m) and we are a one car household so I'm home all the time too. For me the more I stay away from processed carbs the easier it is to make healthy decisions.

I am exactely in your position i live in a diff town then my family, i dont drive and often sit home by myself with my 7 month old son....

For me since im the one making the grocery decisions in the house I just dont buy garbage anymore. My house is full of veggies and fruit and whole wheat and whole grain low fat and low sodium..... this way if I do get hungry for a snack i know its going to be a healthy choice.

I also set aside at least an hr a day to workout. I downloaded a few exercise videos and burnt them now i workout in my livingroom while my son is taking an afternoon nap. I also try to go for a good walk with him at least a couple km`s everyday.. all that plus trying to run around after a 7 month old is a lot of work. lol

My advice probably would be also to get rid of the junk in the house and set up some sort of exercise schedule... youll feel better about everything if you have a schedule and it is working

I am also a stay at home mom to two sons, ages 11 months and 5 years. I don't even do the grocery shopping most of the time. However, I have figured out that I do not tolerate gluten or dairy well at all so eating on plan is simple. Eat well or be sick.

thanks for your replies!! My son is 2 so he's a lot of work, he doesn't day time nap and will interrupt workouts by trying to grab my legs bless him!! I do try hard to keep the house free of temptations but also feel guilty not letting my son have it about I do get out for a few walks but my son is at the stage of not wanting to be in a buggy and instead wanting to be carried or walk so this can be a bit of a headache if you catch him in the wrong mood!!
