Default New and Starting with Calorie Counting

Hello to all. I am starting a weight loss effort using calorie counting and the BodyMedia band. My husband heard about this website and encouraged me to join.
My heaviest weight was 209. I've done every diet plan out there, and I mean EVERY diet plan. Atkins, South Beach, Zone, Weight Watchers, Medi Weightloss, and on and on. I've even tried hypnosis. Some worked, some didn't. But I always gain the weight back.
So now I'm going to try the calorie counting method along with the BodyMedia band. And I'm going to give this website a try as well.

Welcome and good luck. I had tried them all, too and found that calorie counting works best for me.

Calorie counting has changed my life. I've lost about 15 lbs faster than I've ever been able to lose before. After about 2 months I decided to take a week long break from "counting." I didn't go crazy...I guess you could call it more of a maintenance week. That's when it became clear to me that I really am retraining the way I eat. I am making more balanced decisions, and by that I mean....If I want pizza for dinner, I'll have it. I'll just eat lower calories throughout the day and try to plan a little longer or more intense workout if need be. If I want to eat a little more, I'll just work out a little more. (I eat back workout cals as that's what myfitnesspal advises, the website through which I log my cals) I love calorie counting and I hope you will too!
