Default Does anyone else feel lighter on their feet?

I didn't really notice this until now. I stopped running about 20 pounds ago because my knees were bothering me and I was getting more than enough cardio at the gym and wanted to focus on strength training.

So I recently went outside with my dog and decided to just sprint down the block to get her a little bit of exercise...and because I just felt like it for some reason.

Holy crap it was so easy!! I felt so light and agile! I think I really want to take up running again because of how GREAT I felt! I never understood when people said they felt light on their feet, but now I do!

Cardio at the gym was getting easier, but now I really notice how "light" I feel

hahaha its funny you say that because I was thinking this just this morning! My feet make less noise when I walk on the tile floor....if that makes sense.

Although I haven't accomplished nearly the weight loss you have I just wanted to say I know that feeling! I have been running for months now and I remember when I started the sound of my foot hitting the treadmill was like thunder, I felt heavy trying to propel myself forward and my knee's and legs would tremble after only a couple minutes.

Now when I run, I almost spring forward and my movement seems so much more fluid and graceful. If that makes sense. I don't seem to be striking the ground as hard as before either and my legs don't feel like giving out anymore! Its a great feeling.

Feeling light on my feet when I run is also related to being, for me, somewhat undertrained. When I'm running 5x a week it doesn't happen all that much. I don't hurt, but I also don't feel bouyant when I run. If I've taken a week off--for sure that first run will be rainbows and unicorns and weightlessness.

You're 140 lbs, so you definitely tick the light box! Good for you though, running IS amazing. I would do it if the weather wasn't so terrible here. But I lost a big chunk of my weight training for a 10k.
