Hello from Texas!
So I've tried a lot of diets. And, in reality, some of them have actually worked…for a time. When I was little I did about 10 different sports and ate just enough but very rarely more than I should.
However, by middle school I was a big girl. I mean 195 and 5'2 or 5'3. So, I decided it was time for a change. In 8th grade, I went from 195 down to 150 and kept it off by constantly moving and being on swim team. I wasn't skinny, but I was healthy and toned. I liked my body and I was comfortable in it, even though I didn't weigh 110 lbs like many of my friends (not that there's anything wrong with that weight, especially at their height).
In college, I gained almost all of it back. Had some emotional and academic problems…came home, took some time off and worked and then wen't back to school. I again dropped the weight back down to 170 (from 193).
Now, I'm back up to 190 and climbing. I don't want this to be another yoyo. I want to stop this and really become the woman I was meant to be. I'm currently working 2 jobs to support myself and going to school full time, so the stress level is pretty high. But I know I have it in me, and when I came across this site I thought it looked like it had a really great support system. So I'm trying it out in hopes that I can gain some inspiration from being in a group that understands the frustration I've been going through more than anyone else.
I'm ready to love my body again.
