Hi ladies, it's been about a month and I miss this place so much! Internet is still off at home, I try to check in when I can hit the library, tho. Speaking of the library, I've been reading like a madwoman (waiting for my next school term to start) and I came across this
Eat Right for your Type book/series by Peter D'adamo. It seems very intriguing, and I see myself in 90% of it's claims regarding my blood type.... I was curious if any of you had any experience with this "program", and if you used it successfully with WW? I don't see why it would be an issue, it's basically taking away certain foods, and adding in others that you might need to eat more of (turkey vs chicken... ezekial-type bread vs. whole wheat, etc).
So, I've completely, 100% fallen off the WW wagon. I'm going to be kind to myself and let it go/move on, but I am disappointed. I was doing so well for, what, 2.5 months? I lost 23 lbs by the end of it... then my
"I'm just going to take the day off of working out" turned into a month.. and then my point-tracking died out the same way. I haven't counted or truly exercised since, I think, late July/ early August? I've gained like 15 of those stupid, stubborn lbs back because I
cannot stop putting food in my mouth. Partly home stress + partly 6-week summer break for school (which offically ends today, so...)
I do have fabulous news that
will turn things around... when I was here last, I was doing WW on my own (no meetings/etools?) because we couldn't afford it, but, my husband's employer is now extending their free WW membership to not only employees, but spouses too! I probably have to wait until January, but I do not mind! I am totally excited to be able to meet other WWers in person and get the infomational goodies at meetings.

I also think what the employer is doing is fantastic because if it gets families losing weight, then they're just paying for memberships, instead of thousands of dollars worth for weight-related health issues.
And second, I got approved for a reduced-membership at the Y, so now I get to take classes galore! Don't get me wrong, I love my
Bodyrock.TV, but it's hard to do it without internet access at home.
So, I'll be back on the WW wagon with you guys again soon..

I use library net occasionally, so I'll be looking forward to Eat Right for your Type responses... if nothing else, I definitely wanted to say hello. Good night ladies.
