Question How are you losing the weight?

Just curious to see what "diets" people are using to lose the weight. I am doing Weight Watchers, and am awaiting my kit in the mail. Until then, I have two WW cookbooks that I have been utilizing. I have not found one that was not absolutely delicious and filling!

What are you girls doing?

I too am following the WW plan Desiree. I started going to WW in Jan of 2001 - lost 14 lbs ... then because we were not home so much was missing meetings so desided that I could do the program on my own. Well .... I did get off program for a while, gained back some (not all) of the 14 lbs I lost and just got myself back OP as of Jan/2003 and have faithfully journaled every day! I try to post everyday on here what I eat (get behind sometimes) but I DO faithfully post in my journal book every day! I just started the Feb food journal thread (starts tomorrow) ... maybe you would care to join me? sometimes it helps to see what someone else is having - especially if you are following the same program. Good luck to you - let us know when you get your WW kit.

I was doing low carb and going to Curves. I pretty much had no choice about doing the low carb due to being insulin resistant and having PCOS. Luckily, a Curves opened up close enough to my house (20 minutes away) that I began going 4 times a week and managed to lose (up to date) 20 inches and have lost about 13 pounds. I mostly credit my nutritionist and Curves for my weight loss. Now that I am 14 weeks pregnant( ), my insulin is normal and I am at the lowest weight I have been in years. I truly believe that drinking all that water and exercising helped a lot. I just need to do a food journal ....Oh my nutritionist would be SOOOO HAPPY if I did that!

Carol, I'll do my best. I have been sort of "experimenting" with the two new cookbooks that I bought, so I haven't been religious about writing down what I have eaten (although I do try to watch it). I'll do my best.

Sylvia, I was going to join Curves, but I decided that it was too much money for me right now. I have it "saved" in the back of my mind, though, if I want to try it later. My friend does the Curves thing, and she loves it!!

Hey Desiree,
I am on and have been on for several years Weight Watchers and am trying to stop fooling around and get to my gosh darn goal. LOL I was down 42 lbs at one time and was well on my way, but gained quite a bit back and am now starting to head downward again and have lost 14 lbs in the last few weeks and am now down around 26 lbs. I just love the program though and am happy that you are going on it too.

Good Luck to you and again so glad you have joined us, you are just what we need to help motivate us. I like your fresh approach to your plan and you are so gung ho about it all. I am sure some of it will rub off on me. LOL

Sassy Sharon

Hey Desiree,
The fresh approach is the fact that you are soooo excited about getting that WW kit in the mail and doing the program although you have already started if you have already purchased 2 of the cookbooks and have been cooking from it too. Good job, you will have much success I feel because your mindset is already there.

CJ-You are doing such a great job on journaling, you know that is my weakness for sure. LOL But I have been trying to do everything else like eat right, drink the water and exercise faithfully so that should help.

Sylvia-Great job on the 13 lb weight loss. Doesn't exercising help so much? I know you are eating healthier now for your baby's health. That is the one thing about being pregnant because everyone wants the healthiest baby they can possibly get.

Take care guys, Sassy Sharon

Thanks Sharon, I think I'm going to need to keep a good attitude to lose all the weight that I need to.
