New and ready to get rid of this grad school weight!
Hi All,
I recently graduated in June and my one year, high stress graduate program was enough to make me gain 30 pounds...yes, 30 POUNDS! I joined a gym a little over a month ago and meet with a trainer once a week, and while I am seeing results (very, very slowly), I figured I could used some support. Since I want to make sure all this exercise is not in vain, I decided to start doing the South Beach Diet. I have done it once in the past with great success and am looking to see similar, if not better, results.
I'm currently on Day 3 of the SBD and it's going better than expected. Having done a number of searches for motivation, recipes, advice, etc. I am often directed to 3fatchicks.com. I love the sense of community that is present and I look forward to supporting others on here as well.
