Default Hello!

Hi everyone! My name is Louise and I'm from Hampshire, England. I'm 25, 5"8 and I currently weigh 180lbs. I used to weigh almost 200lbs and I was a jean size 18, but I have gradually brought the weight down and improved my fitness levels over the past couple of years. I am now a size 14, and a size 12 on top. (Yes, I'm a pear! )

I have been wanting to lose more weight, but for the last few months I hit a sort of plateau and felt like I was fumbling around, not really getting anywhere. I happened to be looking online and I found a mention of Dr. Joel Fuhrman's "Eat To Live" plan. Within three days I received the book from eBay, and I read it in one evening. It made a lot of sense to me, so I started the six-week program last Thursday. I have been a vegetarian since the age of nine, but already I have noticed a difference in how I feel. I am going to officially weigh-in weekly, but I sneaked a peek today and I have lost 8lbs! I have also lost two inches from my bust, two from my waist and one from my hips. I am extremely happy with the results so far. I feel totally committed to it, and I'm actually not finding it too challenging... it obviously helps that I'm a huge fan of fruit, veg and beans! Never liked a lot of dairy products. I don't have a set goal weight due to Dr. Fuhrman's statement that my body will find its ideal weight when given a proper, nutrient-dense diet, but I guess I'll be pretty happy when I'm somewhere around 140. For an immediate goal, I will be thrilled if I lose 20lbs before I travel to America in November. Having lost 8lbs in less than a week, that's starting to look likely... Fingers crossed I continue to see results! I'm optimistic.

Anyway, I hope to keep you updated on my progress. I have browsed the boards briefly and I already know that there is a wealth of information here that will aid me on my weight loss journey. I can't wait to get stuck in! Looking forward to getting to know you.
