S/C/G: Damn/Damn/Well, Hey!

Height: 5'7

Default Well, Hi! =)

Hi everyone. I'm new to the site.
I'm a 22 year old gamer/artist who hardly leaves the house.
I weigh more than I feel comfortable to share, and I've wanted to lose it for a long time, but could never find the motivation.

I figured joining this community would help get me motivated and turn around my life.

Thanks,
Ems

Welcome, Ems =)

We're all after the same things here. A healthier life. Maybe lose some weight along the way.

Some days I have motivation. But, motivation is a feeling. It's fleeting. There are plenty of days where I'm overwhelmed by a case of the "Idunwannas". However, I'm an adult. (As disappointing as that is.) I have it within me to DO the things I NEED to do in order to be healthier.

You have it within you to choose those things, too. I'm not going to lie, it's not always easy. Sometimes it's better than others.

However, even on those days that it's not easy... it's worth it. Every pound down is SO worth it.

You can do this! Best of wishes on your journey~

Thanks! =)

I'm hoping I can lose at least enough to ride an amusement park ride without fearing I'm going to break it.

Mine is to avoid those seatbelt extenders on planes... and to fit into chairs without my thighs/hips spilling over the sides

There is a LOT going on, it's true.

Well. You're 20-something, so you may wish to start under the Support Groups area.

There are also support groups for people aiming to lose a certain number of pounds. There are challenges under there, too. Some people like to aim to lose 5 pounds at a time, etc.

Under Diet Central are a bunch of sections that are divided into some of the most common/popular food plans that we see around 3FC. That's there so that if someone has a food plan specific question they can ask others following similar methods.

Below that there's an Exercise area where people can talk with others doing similar physical activities or get opinions on workouts.

There's a general Food/Recipe area at the very bottom for ideas on meals or foods or types of eating styles (such as veg*n).

Keep in mind that the forum is open, so that you're more than welcome to find MANY spots that you'd like to post. No need to stick to just one spot if you don't want. =)

If you let us know what you hope to find first (a plan? people of the same age? same weight to lose? similar hobbies?), then we might be able to suggest specific areas. ^^

Oh, awesome. So I can find challenges in a support group forum?

I feel like it might be easier for me to lose weight if I make a game out of it.
Huzzah!

Lots of challenges going on in the 20 somethings thread I've noticed! That might make it fun for you, I know the challenges motivated me last time I used this site regularly.

If you're a gamer, try doing one of the fitness / dance or whatever games on Wii, PS3, or whatever you play!! It helps me I love dance central *thanks to a suggestion on one of these forums* even though I suck at it lol
