I'm not sure how much i'll be posting but the forum seemed so full of useful advice and helpful individuals that I couldn't resist finally signing up!
I was recently tagged in some photos on facebook (as you are) and discovered I really didn't like what i'd become, a big blob of farmer tanned flesh! Every bone in my body just wants to lose as much weight as quickly as possible but i'm trying to rein it in with a fairly slow and steady approach. So far i've given myself a goal to lose 16lbs every 4 months whilst i'm still classed as obese, 8lbs every 4 months when i'm classed as overweight and then whatever comes once I manage to get into the normal range. The world is so full of wonderful things it seems a shame that i've let myself get so out of shape!
My ultimate goal is 117lbs as i'd like to be as light as possible in order to work the ponies under saddle again when they're in-between young riders but purely from a fitness point of view i'd be happy getting to 130lbs. It's going to be a struggle as I do work long hours at a desk job and then several extra hours studying on the computer, so I know i'm really going to have to push myself to get up and exercise as well as making sure I stick to my guns and eat healthy food rather than succumbing to the snacks my partner keeps bringing home for me. I think he's a little love blind to be honest as he doesn't understand why i'm trying to lose weight or improve my health
But anyway, this forum is amazing, there are so many inspirational stories here that it's just brilliant. It's even better that you can tell the before/after shots are of real people, their journey is documented and easily accessible and it really does inspire you to stop making excuses and get on with it.
