Hello! I just finished 2 weeks of the 17 day diet. I had originally picked it because it allowed some "lower sugar" fruit in the first cycle. I am thinking I will better be able to adapt SB as a new lifestyle and would like to start with that. Should I start at the beginning of Phase 1? I have not had any bread, pasta, etc for 2 weeks, and the veggies on 17DD are even more limited. What do you think?
I'm not familiar with that diet but if you want to make the switch to South Beach, I do recommend you do a full phase 1. The transitions are important and I think it's safest to follow the directions exactly. Did you lose weight those two weeks you were on the 17 day diet?
Phase 1 should not be difficult for you then, because you will already have gone through 'withdrawal' but it will just get you in line with the plan. Good luck!
