Hi Everyone this is Thread # 2 and I have changed the name to "Booty" camp to inject a little more humor into our health and fitness efforts..Again for all "newbies" this is a forum and thread designed to give you help, kindness, and support in your journey. We generally, along with following our own food plans, try to incorporate the recommended daily allowance of water, and some type of exercise into our plans. However, all are welcome here...please join us.

DNW - This is so cute, I love the new name!

Jello, Cafe - I have been hibernating too and finally decided that since I like to get up so early any (it's currently 1:33 am) I eat my calories early in the day and go to bed early too. It's a little tough working all day with these hours but at least I'm not coming home and pigging out before going to bed at 7:30. I thougt about what Bob Greene said and while I know that it's not practical for some of you with husbands and families it works OK for me. There are definately temptations to eat when I get home and am tired especially since I have kids to feed but I'm doing much better since I quit eating dinner and have my main meal for lunch. I don't know about the rest of you but I tend to eat a lot more when I am tired am hope that when Spring gets sprung I can adjust back to somewhat normal hours. Sorry to ramble on like this and I hope I don't sound "preachy"

Anyways, I'm going to get in the shower soon, have to leave for the airport at 5:00 am. Wish you could all go with me! Have a good weekend and I will talk to you all when I drag my tired booty back home.

Talking Welcome to Booty Camp!!

Shake, shake, shake...shake, shake, shake...shake your booty, shake your booty

Quilter please send me the crock pot receipes at [email protected].

Also to all my dear my friends on the thread that is a great place to e-mail me during the day at work. Home is [email protected] (go figure!! )

Going to do a phone interview for a transfer to another position in work which will bring me up 4 levels, and a substantial increase. I am nervous about the change...I hate change..but I have to think about my future and I want a house desparately...along with the fact that the new job is in Contracts Administration and that seems to be a department in my company that is more stable than many others. Also as much as I love being an administrative assistant, I am tired of being low man on the totem pole. Although my people treat quite decently...well you know it's not the same as being on the same level as everyone else. Also I know the women I will be working, with, not for, and they are really nice, and have a lot of integrity. Wish me luck!!

Tiger: Glad to see things are better for you...boy you have a had a really unbelievable round of illness and bad luck in your family. I hope it has finally passed.

Huntress, Jello, and Brighter: glad you all came over and are comfortable with the new name...I always wonder how everybody on the thread will react to the things I put out there...you know for an old broad I am a bit radical, and sometimes people don't quite care for that.
It feels good to also know that I among among a bunch women who are strong and forge ahead with their goals in the face of a lot of temptation and a lot of adveristy.

Cafe and Dyan my best to you both and keep up the good fight!

Hello ladies, just a quick stop in to say hi. Had a couple of days that I was off program. Not any reason other than the junk was just handy and once I get started it's hard to stop.

I't still cold and we still have lots of snow on the ground. I've been trying to convience myself that I have to go grocery shopping but I just plain do not want to leave the house.

DNW, you remind me so much of my sister. She pretty much tells it like it is. I wish I could be more like that, usually I just hold everything in.

Well, guess I had better find my grocery list and head out before it gets any colder. Usually cold weather doesn't bother me but for some reason this winter has been harder.

Bye for now.

Hey everybody!

I just read a post on the old thread by Kayla! Hope she follows us over here.....maybe I'll slip her a note over there....

Busy weekend with the returns/shopping for bargains. Found a few nice things and got to return everything I took and found replacements! Yippee, skippee! "I love it when a plan comes together"!

Have the Bob Greene book and working on Phase one---looks like I'll be trying to take the stairs in my new office space (instead of that nice elevator).....wish me luck tomorrow! He says work on the activity part before tackling the food....I'm going in the program backwards since I'm on WW but maybe I'll just eat a few more points in the am so they won't find me passed out in the stairwell....???

Sorry, Sarge, haven't been posting points...last few days have been hectic and I haven't got as much sleep as usual. Gonna try for a nap this afternoon to catch up....that is if everything is quiet around here.

Made the Orange Pecan Chicken last night---it just tastes like the Uncle Ben's Long Grain and Wild Rice package with chicken baked on top---nothing really special about it and it costs 6 points per svg. I'm stuck eating it the rest of the week now! Oh well, in the name of science..... I just haven't found all the good recipes yet!

Take care all....I'm tired and gonna nap a bit,

"Bright"

I'm so depressed. You guys, I had a horrible weekend. Started last Friday after work when my car decided not to start. Waited for an hour and a half for the tow truck. Got to my mechanic around 7. Paid the guy $60. He was nice enough to give me a ride "almost home" so I only had to walk a couple blocks in the cold dark. Good thing the adrenilin was flowin'.

Rich had to work all weekend and so I was trapped at home. Tried to do some housework - actually got a lot of cleaning done. Scrubbed and painted the basement stairs. Ever see the cartoon about the guy painting himself into a corner. I painted myself into the basement! And THEN the phone upstairs rang. Anyway, also tore out a wall in the basement! Tried to keep busy and get stuff accomplished.

But know what else I did? I ate. I ate anything and everything I could find to eat. I ate until I was sick and then I ate some more. I was stressed and unhappy and cold and tired and disgusted, etc. etc. etc. So I, of course, ATE.

Got on the scale this morning. I am soooo not going to WW class this week. I simply CANNOT face it. I'm trying to pull myself together. I swear I'm going to be good from now on. But I'm so scared about my binging and my loss of control. I can blame emotional eating but how can I cure it!?!?!?

OK, I'm through whining. I'm looking at a rough week here at work (hope it includes my review ) but I'm going to try to behave food-wise. Maybe (just maybe) I'll actually get to a weigh-in this week.

See? I've gone from "I'm NOT weighing in this week" to "Maybe I'll weigh in this week". A step in the right direction I guess.

Funny how I feel better just coming here.

Good Morning Ladies. Well lets see, I was totally off program this weekend, but I did manage to get some more junk moved out of my house. I went through my secretarial and filled a huge trash bag full of old papers, bank statement etc. Wish I could just dump some flesh poundage that easy. (notice how I sort of skipped over the not being on program and went to something positive that I did.) Hopefully I'm back on track this am. I didn't exercise all weekend either. Remember back sometime ago when I had that hurting in my lower stomach, well Friday afternoon it started again and hurt all Friday night. Thankfully it was gone Saturday morning, but I was still a little worried about exercising.

Oh yea, I tried a couple of new recipes from Low on the Go cookbook. All of the recipes are low fat and pretty simple. I've got red beans and rice for tonight, I'll let you know if it's a success or not. DH has already made that, I'm not going to like it face, when I told him what I was cooking.

Jello: I don't know what to say girl. If I were you I would still go to the meeting, you will get some encouragement and the rest of the week will be easier. (you are not the first to go to a meeting after a bad week) Sorry about the car, never happens when we need an excuse not to do something, right?

Hey to the rest of the gang but I better get to work and will check back later.

Good morning ladies! Sorry to report I did not have a good weekend - started Saturday when I arrived at my WW center and discovered everyone was outside because none of the employess came - nor did they. Now the snow was pretty much gone, the roads were clear and dry so there really was no reason not to have a meeting. And I really needed the inspiration. Went home and made a pot of vegetable soup for lunch then found my husband's chocolate stash which I destroyed bite by bite. I was so disgusted. Then I went out and bought him more so he wouldn't know I'd eaten it.

Got back on track yesterday. Came in to work today resolved to have a great week. Here comes the UPS man with a delivery. One of our clients works for Hershey Chocolate and sent us 50, yes 50, assorted bags of Hershey's candies. There are only 6 of us working here so we all get 8 bags. They are now in my drawer screaming at me. I'm going to tell my husband to find a new hiding place. I won't be eating any - I promise you.

We have a water leak at work so they had to shut off water to our building - meaning we have no restrooms working so I've had to curtail my water drinking.

It's like a day from He**. It can only get better.

girls, girls, girls....what are we going to do with ourselves. If Tiffany could see us now.
My weekend was sucky too...program wise anyway. On an up note, nothing terrible happened...no broken glasses, speeding tickets or trots.

Somebody want to stamp SUCKER on my forehead. I'm such a sucker when it comes to diet books. I bought the latest Bob Greene. The Get With The Program! Guide To Good Eating. 85 delicious , easy to prepare recipes. I'll let ya know if it was worth my money. I do like Bob, and I have his other books.

Hey Kayla! Nice you to see back. Congrats on the loss!

Good Monday, everyone.

I had a nice, calm, relaxing weekend. I was thinking about healthy food being worth the price and I bought myself some beautiful fresh, ripe, organic strawberries at the store... but somehow I ended up melting chocolate and dipping them. What was I thinking? Sigh.

Kayla - Nice to see you, girl! Glad to have you back with us. It's nice to hear that you're as busy and cheerful as ever. And a boyfriend too? Woo- Kayla's got a boyfriend......

My afternoon is SUPPOSED to be less busy, so I'll be back, I hope.
