Default Sick and tired of being sick and tired!

Hello....I am a newbie...well, new to this site but not new to the weightloss and dieting rollercoaster. I have never tried this approach before and I'm thinking that maybe some support will help. I belong to a health club, but HATE doing the boring machines, so attend cardio classes, zumba, etc. I am a mother of 4, ages 4-21 so I don't have much spare time and only have about a 45 minute window to exercise everyday. My main problem is that I flat out love carbs!! I constantly want cake, cookies, chocolate, ice cream....well you know!! I look forward to meeting new people on here! Thanks for listening!

Hi! I'm a newbie also! I've been looking for a sugar addiction forum and was surprised to actually find one. I can't stay away from the carbs either. I crave sugar the second I wake up. When I eat too much sugar I suffer the next day. Horrible headaches, body aches, you name it. My sister and I are always going on "sugar free" diets and I make it one day if that. I know I would feel so much better if I stayed away from sugar I'm so weak. I have three teenage boys and I love Zumba also. Nice to have you on this board

Default Hi Olivia, Nylvoh here..Newbie hello

Ahh sugar... I have a friend who craves sweets. She buys the thing her tastebuds crave. She keeps the treats in the deep freezer in the garage. She has figured out the carbs and calories of the treats she loves. She exercises, eats a healthy diet and has a pre divied up piece of her fav, approx 1 bite, to go with every meal. She plans her sweets for the week. One day a week she has a reg. serving of a fav. To keep from binging she plans a week in advance. Knowing that she gets a fav treat at every meal keeps her from binging and gives her something to look forward to. It is working for her.

Welcome to 3FC =)

"Sick and tired of being sick and tired" boy do I know that feeling. I think you're doing a great and healthy thing by exercising when you can. Sometimes that's what we have to work with, and so we work with it.

You can do this! Hope to see you around the boards!

Nylvoh, it sounds like we are a lot alike!! I too am 41 years old, married w/kids and not a lot of free time! Oh and I work full time! I figure the 45 minutes that I can squeeze in a day is better than nothing....does anyone know of a good exercise to 'help' a spare tire around my middle? That is what is REALLY bothering me right now....I feel so conscience of it. Thanks for the wonderful support!
