Thumbs up A Few Weight Loss Questions (help me out plz)

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, im 5"10 bout 180 pounds, ive played sports my whole life (soccer till i was in 7th grade, and football till 10th grade). Last year i was injured and spent time doing therapy and gained bout 15-20 pounds. My face has changed a lot from this, a year later my knees/feet feel better and ive been running about a mile every other day for the past 2 months (havnt seen a change) I used to drink a lot of POP as of Today im gonna drink only water, will that help me lose weight? What can i do to lose fat off my face fast?. I joined a gym a week ago and run now bout 1-2 miles everyday will i see a change? If apple juice has 120 calories and 27 carbs and pop has 100 calories and 28 carbs how is pop/apple juice not the same when dieting? I also recently cut down on the snack foods i eat, i try to eat stuff like sandwhiches, eggs/sausage for breakfast, chicken etc. Im very well in shape but i dont look it i wanna change my appearance to what i used to look like. I'd like to review here so u can know what im asking: Whats the fastest way to lose weight from the face? (can u workout ur neck or something?), Will replacing pop with water make me lose weight? If I cut down on what i eat and drink only water and run everyday will i see a change this time? Because ive been running for past month and havnt seen no change. Plz help me out.

Hi Mav,

Drinking water instead of pop will definitely make a difference! Pop retains water. Thus you tend to have more of a puffy face. Plus water washes out fat and toxins. Apple juice and pop may have the same cals, but apple juice is so much better for you. It has vitamins; pop is made up of sugar and carbonation. Not good for you. You might want to visit fitday.com to see how many cals you should be eating to lose weight. If you want, join us at "One Day At A Time." We're all exercising, eating right and drinking 8 glasses of water, too. Otherwise, we'll be happy to answer any more questions.

Take care, D

don't drink fruit juices...it is better for you than soda at least but its really just empty calories and sugar....to make more of an impact, i would personally cut out juice and only drink water.

if you want to get rid of water weight fast, try to cut out as many carbs as you can. it does work....
you don't have to cut them out entirely just try not to eat too many processed foods and "white" carbs etc....
running is very good, if you watch your diet and run for maybe 30 minutes a day you should see a difference,
in my opinion, of course.
i love apple juice too...so sweet and yummy....

Lightbulb

A lot of fruit juices have a ton of sugar in them! Check out the first two ingredients: they're almost always 1) filtered water and 2) high fructose corn syrup.

Hi Maverick:

I agree with what everyone has said about the fruit juices, but if it's just something you can't give up, try diluting it some with water. See just how diluted you can stand to drink it. That way you still get the flavor, but cut the calories, maybe in half?
