Default Hello

Hello there, my name's Michelle, and I'm a 23 year old college student. I've basically been overweight my whole life, however in the last few years my weight has gotten out of control and I've finally realized I had to do something to change my life for the better since health problems do run in the family. So far I've been at this for about 2 months and its been a struggle and I'm hoping to make new friends here that are going through the same as myself in trying to develop a healthier lifestyle.

Welcome Michelle =)

Congratulations on making changes and sticking to them for 2 months. It's not always easy, but it's worth it. Even if we slip up, doesn't matter. We can get right back to it the very next moment.

We know what you're going through. Don't hesitate to participate anywhere you're comfortable. You might enjoy the 20-something's section for starts.

Best of wishes!

Welcome! It looks like, according to your stats, you've already lost some weight! I find starting is the hardest part, and you're past that, so congrats!

Welcome and best of luck. As the previous poster said, you are off to a good start. Just keep up the motivation, and small steps and mini goals along the way!!

I have recently encountered this problem too. It started when I was away for a week, and then a weekend, and I find it very hard to get back to the gym, so I would say dont take a break at all if you can. No matter even if tired or dont feel like it, do go because I found after breaking the cycle its hard to get back into it.

i actually gave up on gyms. i went a few times and then stopped and its always been like that for me. instead ive opted for work out dvds. way i look at it if im at home and im bored i can do them. i really have no excuse to not work out if its all at home. so far its worked but its like you said. you miss a week then a weekend then its harder to go back. iknow i did. i went like a whole week without working out did it one day didnt do it again and then i started up again yesterday. i almost didnt work out today but i just forced myself to because i know i need to get back into the habit of working out daily.

Well yeah thats a good attitude and idea too. No excuse if you are home now not to do some exercise! I didnt work out for like 2 weeks and went yesterday morning and it was hard to get back into it too! Played soccer last night and had lots of energy though which is good! Best of luck with it all and if you want more information my yahoo messenger is my e mail address if you want to contact me privately.
