Default I'm back and ready to finish this!

I lost over 50lbs last year and since the beginning of 2011 my weight has stayed in the 160's. I know this is a huge accomplishment since this is the first time in my adult life that my weight has remained below 200lbs. It has been hard getting back into weight loss mode for the last 20lbs. My calories have to be much lower now than when I was near 200lbs, so that is an obstacle for me.

Is there anyone else in the same situation? I want to finish this journey I started and get to GOAL!!

I have been there..... and all I can say is workout, workout and workout. The more muscle you have, the more you burn..... and unfortunately, you lose some muscle with initial weight loss. You can do it honey! Another thing I've been reading about, is tricking the body. Mix up the amount of calories you consume each...like, for a couple of days have 12 hundred and the next, have 16 hundred. I guess it prevets the body from storing the fat. It would be really cool if it could be 2500 caories for a couple of days and 3000 the next Justsome suggestions! Good Luck!

Thanks Shmoops! I was faithfully going to the gym over the last 12 months or so but recently took a few weeks off. I think it has been a big part of maintaining my weight overall! Now I just need to push down the calories and buckle down again. The cycling was also a good strategy too

Kristi - Congratulations on maintaining! That in itself is an accomplishment.

I got down to the weight I am now last Sept. Then I got busy with school and stopped working out, and stopped paying as much attn to what I was eating. So I gained almost 17 back...I have just lost the 17 I gained and I am ready to get finished too.

I calorie cycle, although I do not follow a set cycle. I eat an average of 1500 cals, some days up to 1800 and some down to 1200.
