Default Hello - I'm so happy to find 3FC!

Hi, It's wonderful to find a forum online for this topic that isn't dead.

I was skinny until I was 18. 13 years later I'm still confused as to what exactly happened. Right now I'm struggling to overcome the alien inside me that blocks brain power and eats things. I often can't explain why I just ate at all, let alone why I ate what I did.

I am determined to spend my 30's healthy since I wasted my 20's with being heavy.

Thanks so much for offering a place of support!

Welcome! I just did the same thing today as well. I was searching weight loss forums on google and this was the only one that really appealed to me - and was still alive.

I had the same thing happen to me. After 18 it just slowly started piling on and over the past year I've noticed it happening more quickly. Although I know it's not too bad yet.. I would rather stop the gain in its tracks than continue to get heavier when I'm older.

Good luck! You sound like you have a pretty good mindset already

I guess we all came to the site for the same reason - to get healthy. I found that once you make the commitment to do something about it, that's half the battle. Also, I never was one to really watch my diet; always believing that my decent metabolism and exercise would carry me through. Boy, was I wrong! Diet is like more than half of the battle. Without proper nutrition, forget making any real progress; you'll just be spinning your wheels. Good luck to you!

Smile Welcome

Glad to have you join us!

I feel the same way. It was like an average of 10 lbs a year through my 20s.

We should start a new post - From fat 20s to fit 30somethings!!

What type of program are you on right now?

LFG

I've gone to a dietician a few times and we've worked out some things we think are my main triggers. Mostly being tired. When I'm tired I eat lots, eat bad things, and dont want to exercise. So I'm working on getting enough sleep (easier said than done!) and cutting out refined flours and sugars. Also trying to walk 10 min 5-7 times a week. It's slow going so far but I'm determined to keep trying until I get it right.

Jem maybe I'm too new for pm? I'm not sure how this site works exactly.
