Question what are your measurements (as we all seem to be focusing on lbs and not inches)

I noticed this thread over in the featherweights section. It made me think a bit, and I realised that at the moment even though the scales don't seem to be my friend at the moment, I am losing inches. The pounds will follow soon enough but I just wondered what peoples measurements were, as its fascinating how different bodies (even though they might be the same weight/height etc) can work and lose weight so differently.

Mine are:

Fullest point around bust: 41inches
Bust: 35inches
Waist: 34.5 inches
hips at fullest point: 45 inches

I seem to have lost over an inch in about 2 weeks, I'm not sure if that's slow or fast.

I *wish* I had kept track of my inches before losing weight so I would really know the difference. Congrats on your loss! I think that seems like a good pace!

I don't measure the conventional parts of my body. But here goes:

Boobage: 42.8 inches
Pudge (Stomach from just underneath belly button): 42 inches.

I've lost a total of 1 inch around my pudge and 0.8 from my boobage.

Which brings me to quite an embarrassing question - on the measuring tape what do each of the points in between each inch count to? I can't figure out another way to ask! I'm so dumb...maths was never my strongest subject.

On my measuring tape each tick mark is 1/16th of an inch.

I seem to measure when I haven't seen a loss on the scales, it never fails to disappoint me even if it is only by a small amount, and shows me I'm doing all the right things.

Also scales don't seem to be accurate? anyone found that? which is why I'm going to pay a little more attention to my inches lost.

5'3", 169lbs as of this morning (thanks surgery and TOM)

40" bust
32" ribcage
29" waist (natural waist)
39" hips

Goes to show you the number on the scale doesn't matter when I'm almost 30lbs heavier than amaniesa and have pretty much the same measurements. Maybe that's why everyone tells me I hide my weight well.

boobs: 36.6''
waist (smallest): 28.3''
hips: 37''
thigh (fullest): 23.2''

I really want to lose fat on the outer and inner side of my my thighs but that seems like impossible I guess. I keep losing fat on my arms, face, boobs..

I restarted my fat-loss journey a few weeks ago, so here's measurements from 3 weeks ago and today.

6-15-2011
weight: 118 lbs
bust: 33 3/4"
high waist: 29"
belly button: 34 1/2"
hips: 37 1/2"

7-6-2011
weight: 114.5 lbs
bust: 33"
high waist: 28 3/4"
belly button: 34"
hips: 37 1/4"

So in 3 weeks, I've lost 3/4" from bust, 1/4" from high waist, 1/2" from belly button, and 1/4" from hips.. Not fair that we lose from everywhere.. I'd like to lose from belly button and keep what little boobage I have, haha. Ah well!

I like measurements vs scale, as well. Measurements can tell if you're losing fat, even if the scale doesn't budge. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat, so you could be losing inches even if you aren't losing lbs
