Default binge prevention buddy!

I could seriously use a buddy! (or a group of em!)

Currently binge free for a couple weeks, yay, and would like to try to stay that way.

Back to 3fc after a couple month hiatus when I was going thru a darker, bingeful and weight gaining times. Realized it would be great to have people on here to help hold me accountable and that actually AIM me now and again when I am a no show for weeks on end.

My current weight is up to 150s after gaining 40lbs in 2 months (yes, you read that right, ugh super binges). I peaked at 167 and am slowwwwwly taking the weight off while trying to beat myself up too much for getting back in this spot.

If anyone would like to be a buddy and check in on each other for accountability, motivating, venting, etc - I would be quite thankful.

Hi! I've been reading through the forums for a few days now, when I read your post I decided to register. I am just starting to accept the fact that I am a binger. I lost 20lbs, but gained back 10 in the last 6 weeks because of binging. The past few days have been tough, but today is going great! Congrats on being binge free for a few weeks! I think it would be great if we could keep each other on track!

I feel your pain. I gained about 37 lbs in 3 months and I finally stopped the vicious cycle on May 2nd. I have lost 22 of those pounds and am still working on the other 15. I remember feeling so angry with myself for the self-sabotage. The good news for you is that you did not gain it all back and you are here to change your habits. You have to stick to the plan even when you feel disgusted with yourself. Forgiving yourself will be a process. I can tell you that I feel a he** of a lot better since May 2nd. I am looking forward to reading your posts.

Yay!

Thanks everyone, I am excited

Also happy to report today is going well and Day 19 of being binge free and 100% on plan, w00t.

SummerDayz - Welcome to 3fc, awesome you registered. While it is hard to deal with having binges, coming to the realization about your issue is how you can begin to deal with it. Congrats on today going well. I too try to focus on the victories in each day.

Sunshine87 - Sorry to hear you suffered a similar fate, but congrats on the May 2nd rebound. Glad to hear you are feeling so much better. I am doing better this time around at not beating myself open. That alone is a NSV I am counting.

pixellate - PMd ya back and can I just say your avatar is super adorbs.

Hi everyone

How has the week treated you? Binge free? Any problems? Temptations?

I have had a few tempting moments during the evening, and did eat a snack or two after my cutoff time, but did NOT binge! Yay!

Tomorrow I look forward to celebrating 3 weeks being binge free.

Bella - thanks for offering to be a buddy, woo. How is the 30d binge free goal coming?

Anyone worried about the weekend? Are events challenging for you all?

This week has been bad for me calorie wise and exercise has been zero! But today that will change.

Just to give you an idea of my cals this week:
Sun-1,650
M-2,454 --binged!
T-1,110
W-2,369 --overate granola
Th-1,497

As you can see my cals are up down up down. and I gained 2 pounds from my lowest weight of 153.5 from Monday. Well I don't have any weekend celebrations to worry about, but if I do, I should be fine, I usually don't have problems eating out, it's what I do at home that scares me sometimes. My problem is that I'll buy a carby food like granola or bread, and I can't control myself around that food, so I eat it all or like half of it all, which is like 4 servings, and adds so much to my caloric intake. I feel sick and then I retain water and it takes a while for it to go away. Carbs and sugary foods are what I usually binge on. So far, I'm on day 4 of my month long binge free challenge. I hope to END BINGING ONCE AND FOR ALL!

I seriously need to stop it.

Good job for cutting off your snacking at night. Make a time that is your cuttoff time for eating, and if you're hungry you just drink liquids. That way you can digest the food eaten earlier in the day rather than the food eaten late at night. You'll burn more cals and lose more weight that way. When you wake up you'll be famished, but try to eat healthy and normal sized portions as much as possible throughout the day, and by night you won't be as hungry as the night before.
