Default Bad WI Morning

So I took a peak this morning even though my weigh-in isn't until Friday, and I am up a pound! This is after exercising (hiking and 2.5 mile walk) and being very diligent about food all weekend. I am hoping it's water retention from TOM which will be arriving shortly. My pants fit looser today so it just doesn't make sense unless it's water retention. I am a little bummed out and with PMS in full effect, that's not helping my mood here. Weight loss certainly is an emotional roller coaster Thanks for listening!

I'm sure it's just water retention. Keep your head up and keep going!

Yup...good ol' water retention. NO...MORE...PEAKING!!! Well...not until you get used to the water weight game!

This is why I weigh daily and chart. I can see the crazy ups and downs my body goes through even when I am on plan and exercising. I also look back and see that yes I may spike up, but it is always followed by loss if I am on plan and exercising.

I feel exactly the same way! I have been really, really good, haven't gone over 1300 calories, I've worked out at least 4 days every week (really working out, I'm on week 5 of Couch to 5k, and after that I do 45 minutes to an hour of weight lifting) and my weight is exactly the same as where it was last week on weigh-in day. Granted, I wasn't supposed to weigh in until tomorrow, but I thought that even though I started my period yesterday, I would see SOME loss.

Oh well, I'm definitely eating more healthily, even if I'm not losing weight, right? So let's just hang in there, girl!

I haven't had a good date with my scale for nearly a week. The scale is not a good conversationalist. Never tells me what I want to hear

But since I can now do the 30min medium intensity trainer program on my treadmill without praying for death I am going to call the time frame a success anyway

I think when we have weeks like this we should look for NSV's and call it good. Because isn't the journey about health and fitness, really?

I feel really silly, but I haven't been coming here that long...what is an NSV?

NSV= Non scale victory

like clothes fitting looser or going down a size or finishing a fitness program you couldn't before or had great difficulty doing or losing inches if you're a body part measurer

Yea I was thinking how much better I'm eating overall. And some things to be proud of are that I actually crave vegetables/salad now and exercise. Those are pretty big from a self proclaimed couch potato. I'll have to take those wins until the scale gods have mercy on me.
