Talking Hey Hey!!

hello! brand new to 3FC. i actually found this as i was looking up capsaicin pills! google sent me to ya.
im 26 and a little too fluffy. im a pretty sedentary college student, and since its summer my activity has dropped to zero. i am 225 lbs. my knees hurt my ankles pop my lower back is always hurting and i decided it was about time i did something about it. i am in the marching band at my university and need to get prepared for that too. bandcamp fast approaches and in the louisiana heat, the extra weight is no fun.
i have been going to Zumba (which is super fun even though i am not coordinated AT ALL) and ive been walking at least 1.5-2 miles a day for the last 4 days (minus last night) i know it doesnt sound like much but from me being a total couch potato to that is actually a huge step. i have a kettlebell set that im about to start working with (kettleworx dvd, anyone use that? like it?) along with the zumba.
i think alot of my motivation issues come from not having friends come with me when i do stuff. we have opposite work schedules or theyll be tired from work etc etc. having a work out partner helps, but lately ive taken it into my own hands. having 3FC to help should get my tooshy in motion! i wanna drop 70lbs. i know its going to be a long road and a lot of work but dang it i'm ready for it!!

Awesome, I'm a newbie too, I bought the zumba DVD set, partly cuz I live in the boonies and partly because I'm way to embarrassed to attempt it publicly. Or even in the comfort of my own home yet lol I swear I will though

Good luck in your goals!

Welcome to 3FC!

Awesome job on the movement!!! I, too, was a complete couch potato before adding in a walking routine. Believe me. Any activity, any added movement is great progress. Keep it up!

thanks!!

Zumba, while showcasing how incredibly uncoordinated or rhythm-less you are is SUPER fun!! i dont mid so much going to our rec center b/c its full of other uncoordinated people like me, but i used to go to our university gym and all the cheerleaders and danceline girls went i was like "mmmm no thank you. i dont need you showing me your high kicks as i struggle not to fall the heck over!"

i did a weigh in and since i started walking ive dropped 3lbs. woot woot! its a start!

thanks for the great welcome
